Feeling a bit touch starved at the moment so that might be influencing the idea: alternate universe where there’s an hour each day where everyone gets to break and has to show physical affection to others. Could be holding hands, hugging, kisses and for adults, sex can be a part of it. Now, sex has to to be consensually agreed to but it is expected that you at least be open to hugs kisses on the cheek or smaller acts.

I figure sex that happens during that period isn’t considered cheating.

Some ideas:

1. Exploring how society got that way. Is it to encourage people to have sex? Did it start as a reaction to a period of severe isolation?

2. Someone from our world winds up there and suddenly is confused why their boss isn’t just being nice but asking if they’re open to spending the hour with them and their secretary since they had so much fun the day before

3. People who don’t like hugs. Do they form their own groups, do they just go straight for sex? (Barry, look, you’re a nice guy but I don’t like being touched that way…how about a blowjob? I can give you the most tender blowjob and put my hands on your butt…that’s kinda like a hug!)

A parallel world where monogamy or even cohabitation never evolved. Life is very communal. The 'it takes a village' idea taken to the Nth degree.

People have their own bedrooms, but habitations are set up in a cloverleaf design, with common rooms.

And though consensual, showing physical affection is very open and welcomed and can happen anywhere. Se xis a more private thing, but parents will often cover for each other, alternating the watching of childen so that folks can have their fun.

Studies show that insincere affection is damaging and not worth the perceived benefits of compelling it mandatorily.
Wow, you must be really fun at parties.

I literally start by saying alternate universe.

We have all kinds of kinks on here that have issues but it’s fucking fiction. Christ.
