Ok, so a few of you may know that I recently signed up for a couple of online dating websites. Well, I've been talking with one girl in particular quite a bit, and I realized I'm not quite sure where to go with this. I mean, I know it's way too early to ask her on a date, but I do like this one so far. :) So when do I go for it? I really don't want to scare her off.

So far we've pretty much been talking about video games the entire time. She loves video games, and RPGs no less! I could totally swoon right now! :D Anyway, we'll see what happens.

Only started messaging each other a couple days ago. I think between us we've sent 13 e-mails, and almost 90% of those e-mails has been us talking about video games. :p

ETA: plus I'm flat broke.

If any of the local game shops have a big to do, or if there is a nearby game convention, that'd be a great time to ask her out. Don't worry about the when, focus on the where. Find a really great place that you are sure both of you will enjoy and take her there.

Be your self, keep things casual and fun, and above all, at the end of the night, and this is the most important thing I can tell you, just as you are taking her back to her place, lean in close and whisper "I can lick my eyebrows" :D

Ok so ignore that last part.

I'd say the next step would be talking on the phone.

Ah, okay.

I'm totally out of the loops, sweetie (Hmmmm. Do they even have "loops" anymore?), but is there a game site where you could play together and get to know each other better?

How about lunch somewhere? Brown bag it if you need to. She should be interested in you, not your cash flow.

lol, fortunately I can't actually do that. :p I'll keep your other advice in mind though. I don't think picking a place would be hard, we seem to like the same kinds of things, but I'm more concerned with when to actually go for it. Don't want to blow it by asking too soon, or have her lose interest by waiting too long.

Now, Trom. Ask now. She's there 'cause she wants a date. So are you.

Okay, so she dressed up as a Question block from Super Mario Bros., complete with a coin popping out and everything! I think I'm in love.

Dude!

Ok unless she has a third eye growing out of her forehead or five nipples or something, ASK HER OUT NOW!!! NOW!!!!

You found a gamer girl, with a sense of whimsy. ASK HER OUT NOW!

What he said. And the third eye might not be as bad as you're imagining, either.

I heartily concur. :D Funny, I was going to go as Luigi this Halloween too! I say it's a sign.

ok the nipples could be sexy, but I'd be jealous over the third eye. I want a third eye, and if a cute gamer girl had one, I could never date her just because I'd pissed.

But that's just me. I'm emotionally conflicted.

I have to concur. Ask her now. Just for coffee if you want. (You can have hot chocolate. ;)) I just had breakfast with someone this morning after chatting for a day and a half Go for it. :rose::kiss:

I shall indeed, and I'm glad it's working out with you as well. :D

You're still awesome btw. ;) :rose:

Brilliant, I couldn't have said it better! My hubby is a big gamer, and if she's as into it as you are, with no money, meet with friends for some games. Don't plan 'reindeer' games. Figure out what systems you have, what games you like, and rent some that neither of you have played before. Minimal investment involved.

I'm going to second the other thoughts about going for it.
The natural order of these things is generally online chatting, phone chatting, meet for coffee, see what happens. :)
Good luck!

(I'm maybe meeting someone for coffee tomorrow. We'll see. I'm petrified)

Of course, she must still pass the Transformer quiz.
