Abortion is very much now like slavery was in the 1860's, where one person claims to own the other, and owing to such claim, also claims the right to do as they wish with their property. In the case of fetuses, they are simply killed as inconvenient people. I fail to see how the fourteenth amendment should not be amended to extend to the protection of the life of the pre-born.

Just as a clarification - I've never had an abortion but I've sat with a few people who have, and I know for a fact that it's never an easy process, and always both physically and emotionally difficult. Nothing you've said affects me personally, but I take great exception at people like you belittling the emotional and physical costs of that experience. People end up with unwanted pregnancies for a plethora of reasons - very few of them involve malice or stupidity. Until you've actually sat with someone you care about while they make that decision and then go through that process, I think you should back off and keep your insensitive opinions to yourself. No one who's gone through that needs to reminded about, much less insulted by someone who, as far as I can work out, doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. You might think it makes you look clever, but it actually just makes you look like a callous twat.
