See what I did there - instead of adding up totals across decades, I presented the data as a proportion of the relevant population within a relevant timeframe (i.e. the most recent year that both bits of relevant data are available for). This presents something that's both fairly accurate and not hysterical.

The concern for the health of the mother is such a small part of the abortion statistics, since modern medical care has made childbirth a far less hazardous enterprise than it was a hundred years ago. Abortion is very much now like slavery was in the 1860's, where one person claims to own the other, and owing to such claim, also claims the right to do as they wish with their property. In the case of fetuses, they are simply killed as inconvenient people. I fail to see how the fourteenth amendment should not be amended to extend to the protection of the life of the pre-born.
