Adopted family member saddened by incest

Okay, before the title throws you off. This is actually a tongue-in-cheek story idea.

A couple started the process to adopt a child when they thought they wouldn't be able to conceive. Low and behold, the adoption process takes so long that they actually conceive and give birth to twins before they are able to adopt. They still adopt the child since he/she needs a good home and is roughly the same age as their children.

The kids grow up happy but one day, the grown adopted child is acting sad. Siblings or parents ask what's up and the the (18 or older) child responds that he/she witnessed some (consensual) incestous acts between his/her adopted family. At first concerned that he/she was traumatized, they try to offer words of consolement...only to receive this in response:

"Am I just not attractive to you all or is it because I'm adopted"

I figure it could just play with the tropes of the genre and make a few cracks at people that down vote stories just for being pseudo incest.

This works.

I like the idea. Adoptees often struggle with "who am I" questions of identity.

There have been real cases of male adoptees finding their birth mothers and, in reconnecting, end up having sex with them.
