Adopt-a-story program

With the response in, I'll take, with your permission and some bitching from TJChurch of course:
Johnny's Conscience
My cheating wife
FantasyWomen, Inc.
The Magical Sex Bed

is anyone editing "A New Watch"? There's threads that have been locked for a long while.

I'll take Walk This Way so I can fix the thread that moron destroyed. Utterly destroyed that thread. Right now I'm actually ashamed it has my name in the authors spot.

I just noticed that that ignoramus edited so many stories but never actually added new threads, he just went through and destroyed what he took over, like Johnny's Conscience. I glanced at it when it first transfered over to him (before he destroyed it with his moronic infatuation with the &) and remember thinking it was pretty good...just glanced at it again and…I feel a headache coming down.

I am so sorry that I ever trusted that imbecile with anything. I never thought anyone would go through existing threads and change things on such a scale.

Oh, well. Live and learn.

And how many did "he" takeover, go through replacing every And for the entirely incorrect & and then did nothing with? Or have two or more people speaking in the same paragraph? "He" was a moron.

This is especially shocking given how possessive he was over his idiom, and how hostile he was to any effort to introduce editing into his threads. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Here

I'd like to take over Population Crisis...have a few threads in there and would like to continue it

Fagfarlane has destroyed population crisis sometime ago and if any of you think it possible I would take over editor or one of you should and then assign a new editor in an attempt to save the story. The story was destroyed and if the original story is hidden with in it someone should attempt to save it.

And deleting my suggestion or post just because you can't is a sign of no free speech my damn messages are not written to be spam! The name that should be made editor of Population Crisis on the site should you decide to give it to me is Mazer.

Jagfarlane did not destroy Population Crisis. A database glitch from CHYOO did so. I don't believe there is any way to recover it. I'll look, though.

So anyway

If anything if the original story can be found in the glitch as well, it is possible for it to be republished as well. And if you could tell me more about the glitch it will let me know if I should back up any of the stories I am writing or posts, more information could be favored in regards to the glitch if you could inform please. I had noticed in the past other stories that had acted much like Population Crisis did in this case, is it possible there is always got to be at least one story that behaves in this glitched manner? and if you delete the old one it possibly destroys another story?

Mazer

You should absolutely back up all of your stories and posts. Even if we didn't have the example of Population Crisis as a reminder of what could happen, it's just good policy to assume there's always some risk of data loss. Always have a backup.

Are Kelly's Secret Sex Diary, Imperial Garden, Kelly's Night on the Town, or Angel's Night Out still available? I could take over those.

My name is the same as here.

While we're on the subject, I think I could write for this one, except when I click on the title, the title page is missing one.

I'd also take over any of these:

1] http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.cover/4413

2] http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.cover/3602

3] http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.cover/4506

4] http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.cover/990

5] http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.cover/1094

...

Along with (potentially) several others. I simply see no reason why so many perfectly-good, English stories should sit idle. The ironic part is they are probably not getting new threads (or even attempts at such) b/c they are not on the front page of the site, or near the front of the "Fresh" list, etc.

First of all, only "A Summer at the Cabin By the Lake" had old threads waiting for approval. Second of all, the rest were up to date and edited by active users. Third and most importantly, I'm not giving you editorial control over any stories, after the last several editorial debacles with you.

I have taken over Summer at the Cabin to get those threads approved. Thanks for pointing it out.

Is Venus Rising and/or Deceiving Naive Papergirls adoptable? Have waited a couple days for a post to be approved and am unsure if I am just being impatient or if it is twisting in the wind. :)

This is my post http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/120228/21069 and http://www.chyoo.com/index.php/main.story.page/120234

I don't let stories get adopted until at least a month and preferably two months have passed with threads needing approval. I did notice that Venus Rising has another thread from way back, but since this is one of my favorite stories, I've adopted it.

As for Naive Papergirls, you'll just have to wait.

It's been a while, but is iarmhilad active at all? I know when he posted "Unusual Gift Received in my Grandfather's Will" he (or she) had four submissions right off the bat it seemed and he never approved any of them. If he's not active anymore, I am willing to adopt the story.
