It is so true that a lot of the men and women in the military are single or have very little family or friends and they need our love, encouragement and support!
I can understand all too well as my boyfriend is currently in the Navy and his sister and I are really the only family he has.
Thank you for your post!
Thanks Tiggs, I did this back in when the Gulf War was going on. I was a freshman in highschool. My how times have changed... anyhow I wrote to about 20 different soldiers, men and women. Around Valentines day I took all the money I had from being a busser/hostess and went and bought as many great Valentines Day cards as I could. I sent them all out and I really felt like I had brightened someone's day.
I noticed that site didn't have what to send and what not to send guidelines. I would suggest that you be careful about what you send to anyone before you've establish some sort of do not send list.
Saudi Arabia is an Islamic fundamentalist country. Despite the fact that the TV news people like to use fundamentalist interchangeably with terrorists, this is not so. Islamic Fundamentalists are no more terrorists than Jerry Fallwell is. It is their country and we are there on their sufferance.
That means:
Be very careful what you send, it may not be permissable or it may not allowed for that region.
