It's amazing what you can figure out to do if you simply read the manual! Look what I made! Some of you will undoubtedly recognize the picture.

I like the model the best ;) :p

PS is pretty good - I wish I knew how to use it better. I should have taken lessons at my last job; I was surrounded by PS experts (I wrote software for the publishing industry).

I have a friend who now works for Adobe that spent about 2 hours retouching my parents wedding photo for their 50th wedding anniversary. He did a great job (he is a wizard with PS and used to make a living retouching photos) and I had a large photo print made for the party, then copies made for us kids.

I am slowly learning to do more in PS than just shrink and lighten photos. I think it was last week I learned how to do transparent backgrounds.

Looks good Myst...

Yes adobe is a good program I love it.. use it all the time. the Manual was crap though (well for me.... I wanted to hit my teacher with it lol)

I don't know how I would survive without Photoshop. Great job on that image, Myst.

Hey Dill, will you show me all the ins and outs of PS if I sit on your lap while you show me?

Anyone feeling like trimming off the black from my current av and making it a clear backround?

An offer for the bored.

Myst, I made your boobs just a little bigger (not that they needed it) just to get you to come sit on my lap.

Sure Modest Mouse,

I can grab it and do that for you. Should I just e-mail it back to you when I am done with it?

As always, simply outstanding.

And as for me, I can't decide what is more impressive:
Myst,
or her vast array of talent.

Nice job, Myst!!!!

I would be thankful, I have no idea how much work it involves, if its a total pain in the ass, dont bother. I think it would look great for PJ to be creeping out of the board.

You can either post it here or email it to me, I'll pm you my addy.

Damn,

Thank you very much DCL, much appreciated. I'm going to go with the shadow one for now, I like the way she 'pops' forth.

I need to grab some decent image software once I clear some room on the harddrive.

(Would it be possible to edit her hair to clear also? Her face spilling from the backround. Yes, I am an ungrateful bastard.

You mean JUST her face? It's impossible to tell where her hair actually is .. I had to pretty much create it. Are you saying you just want her face, with NO hair selected at all? That'll look freaky.

Yeah, no hair at all, freaky is not a bad thing in this case. I have the roiginal pic, this one I darkened and turned up and burnt out the reds.

The concert one is a kick.

Just so you know what you're asking for -- if I cut away anything that looks like hair, I'll also be cutting off a huge chunk of her head and shoulder...I don't think this is what you're going for. If it is, send me the original photo. My email is below.

Here is the original pic, in its original size. I can manipulate the size without a problem, perhaps this is easier to work with.

Cutting off her shoulder is not a problem, the look i am actually going for is her pressing forward through the backround, with her ghostly look intact.

Like I said, dont sink a bunch of time into it.

I'll do one that's just no hair and on a white backgorund later...but if you wnat a "Coming out of the background" look...how's this...?

Looks good, Myst...

Now can you do me? Well I mean my pic. Or both.
