adding lines from other post

i have seen it in alot of post but don't know how to do it so please help me. how do you add lines/words from other post. all of them i have seen gives the one that posted it the first time props ( brain fart can't thank of right word ) and says "Originally posted by " as a quote. thanks for any help

you see the little quote button in the corner of the post? click on it and it will bring you to the new reply page. you can then highlight and delete anything you don't want to put in your post. make sure you keep the brackets though. have fun and welcome to Lit.

Once you hit the quote button, examine the parts inside the brackets to learn the syntax of the quote tag.

Once you understand it, youcan add quotes manually by cutting and pasting text from the "Topic Review" below the reply form.
