Adding a Third....

Recently I submitted a 'How To' called Adding A Third: From Her Eyes, I have gotten some good reader feedback and public comments from it.

One of the readers asked me to bring the discussion there to the boards to see what others thought about it and what if anything they had to share about adding a third to a relationship in any fashion.

I leave this thread in the capable hands of those that post to the boards.

Thank you for sharing with us, elizabeth.

I think you did a nice job of pointing out how many facets are involved in including a third in a relationship.

We have discussed this issue and communication is key. It is nice to have a template for that beginning of those discussions.

As a relationship evolves with three or more people, there are always unexpected dynamics and issues that come up. Setting the tone by discussing in a very concrete fashion everyone's expectations will help a couple move through the process with their third.

As we just did add a third, we are interested in the topic ... just haven't had time to sit and read the whole thing yet & thought maybe I should wait to post until I had .....
