Account disapeared with story

Last Thursday evening I created an account called Andronese and immediately started to write a story that I had in mind for a while, I wrote Chapter 1 and submitted it for review then I started to write chapter two and saved it as draft before going to bed.
on the Friday morning when I tried to go back finishing the story, the system told me that the Account Andronese did not exist.

And of course I did not do any backup of chapter 1, for chapter 2 the window was still open which allowed me to save the draft locally and to continue working with it.

I then tried to write on the message system to report issues but it dose not seem to work, I fond an other place where to write that seemed different but no answer as well.

So I created this Account AndroneseBis to at least be able to write on the forum. I do not mind if the first account is not working but I would like at least to save the chapter 1.

If someone in this forum knows how to sort that out thank you

Send a message (using the PM system) to Manu and Laurel - both spelt exactly as you see them here. They're the site owner and tech, and should be able to interrogate back-ups and hopefully sort it out.

Lesson learned though - don't rely on the Lit drafting function to write - use a word package, save regularly, and only use the Lit page when the story is ready to submit.

You're about the twentieth person I've seen who has lost content writing on-line - my advice is, don't do that, it's not reliable enough.

I'll guess you mistyped something when you created the first ID. Check your emails. When an ID is created, an email is sent out to the address entered at time of registration. Find that email and look closely at the user ID included there.

Well in fact I think I went to quickly,

because when creating the account you first receive an email to confirm your mail address and I thought that was it.

but I realized when creating the Bis user that a few days later you receive a confirmation email.

but on the first user I started to use it immediately without waiting for that and BTW never revived it.

Sounds like you may have mistyped the email address also. Two possibilities:

Somebody else got the account confirmation and they reported possible hacking to this site causing the account to be removed.

The confirmation went no where and the site deleted the account after no activation confirmation.


Or if you mistyped the account ID it might still be out there.

What is the story title? Category?

The account is not retrieved yet but someone from support is kindly looking for it

Jafo, A miss spelled username is a possibility
For the address it is not possible for it to be misspelled as I received the mail confirmation link in the first email

It has been nearly two weeks and I have not heard back from the support.

In despair I have started to re-write the Chapter one but it is a bit weird to do that, I'm progressing slowly.
