Racism underlies seemingly race-neutral conservative criticisms of DEI statements among Black and White people in the United States

Moreover, an internal meta-analysis suggested that the relationships of conservatism to justice and interest (but not person-organization fit) in response to requests for DEI (vs. teamwork) statements were not independent of racism. Findings were consistent with social dominance theory; racism may underlie seemingly race-neutral backlash to DEI statements.

Makes sense. Conservatives often try to mask their racism by pretending to be interested in more neutral issues like “the rule of law” or “population genetics”.

It's a controversial position because of the history of abortion in America. The people who originally endorsed it were the eugenicists, who wanted to keep bad DNA out of the population, and saw abortion, lobotomies, sterilization, and other tactics as a good means to that end. The pro-abortion side basically acknowledges this by pointing out that the kids who are getting aborted would not have had great lives anyway and would probably end up criminals. So while it's controversial to endorse eugenics, it seems socially acceptable to do so re: abortion.

There is no “pro-abortion side” The argument in favor of making abortion legal is that women should be allowed to make their own healthcare decisions.

Every issue has pro- and con- sides. If you favor abortion, you are pro-abortion. Like me, I am pro-abortion and it has nothing to do with some flowery argument for women and healthcare decisions. It is a population genetic quality argument, which thankfully the mainstream sources have also repeated and validated.

Which population do you want less of?

Just think, if you are rich you just get lobotomized like Rosemary Kennedy
I am reading about the Skakels (a branch of the Kennedy family, who started out as bootleggers) right now. Lot of mental health issues in this family.

Forced abortion like forced sterilization is evil.
They wanted it legal and opt-in as it is now. The thinking was that people at risk of having mentally unstable, moronic, or criminal offspring would be selfish and abort the fetuses before they could turn into full-fledged social problems. It's a solid argument for the pro-abortion side, which is why they use it.

No one uses that argument on the pro-choice side.

It turns out that the anti-abortion side is just doctors protecting their monopoly:
In 1847, doctors banded together to form the AMA.
AMA members believed they should have the power to decide when an abortion could be legally performed.
By 1880, all states had laws to restrict abortion — with exceptions in some states if a doctor said the abortion was needed to save the life or health of the patient, or for therapeutic reasons.
