7) Learn to take advice

I hate taking advice. I really don't like the thought that anyone knows better than me. However the sad fact is that people do, so I've had to learn to live with it.

A lot of the people who know better than you and me are to be found on the Literotica forums. Try going to the Author's Hangout and listen to people such as WildSweetOne, DeliciouslyNaughty, TheBragis, WhisperSecret, KillerMuffin, JonHayworth and RayDario. Hell even I manage to put on something worth reading every now and again. If you have a question, then ask it. They won't bite.

Just reading over my 10 Commandments How-To and was depressed by the roll-call of the missing. The only one of those I mentioned who I've seen in the AH in over a year was Whispersecret and she only popped in briefly.

If any former AH stalwart is lurking, I don't suppose I could get a post from you. Just to know you guys are still alive and well.

Wildsweetone is alive and well. We sometimes chat. She occasionally frequents the poetry feedback forum.

It is depressing to see some of the names we don't see around. I'll add another - Quasimodem.

eulogy...?

And here layeth your mumbling wildsweetone,
ever so quiet and humble,
sometimes she's wise and sometimes she's wicked
but at the moment she's having a grumble. ;)

Okay okay okay, lol even the poetry is taking a step back for a little while. I am trying to figure out how to deal with a thousand screaming cicadas in my head and unfortunately that means I'm not up to much gadding about the boards and I'm also not doing much reading of other author's work either. So all in all my thoughts and comments have been next to zilch over the last little while. (I sure don't feel that I'd be doing anyone any good if I commented on their work with only quarter the concentration span that I had.)

But, things are getting better and pretty soon I'll be around and whipping your tail again. ;)

By the way, any ideas on dealing with the uncontrollable insects would be greatly appreciated. There's only so many brick walls I can bang my head against and the ones around here are beginning to look the worse for wear. ;)

*hugs* Earl, how've you been? How's your studying going? Do tell. :)

*hugs* Alex, you're a definate goodun. :)

I haven't heard from JonHayworth for a long time now. Last I heard he was doing up a vehicle and getting ready to trip around his home country. I don't know if he managed to do that or not. He just kind of disappeared.

RayDario... *sigh* I've not heard from him for a long time either. His email is no longer in use. I know where he went and suffice it to say he is in my prayers.

Quasimodem went on to leave Litland behind and do other things. I have a distinct feeling he is doing okay.

So young man, no point getting depressed. Some friends pass through our lives and give us different perspectives on Life and then move along and help others, or even do some things for themselves for a little while. Maybe some even stick around and just look in from time to time. Litland is not an easy place to leave, especially with all the wonderful friends we meet.

 thank you for thinking of us
