I have grown curious about the history of Lit. In MS apps there's an ABOUT button. I have looked but do not see such an option here. Since Lit has become such a big part of my life I am wondering about its history. Started when? How many members now? Average subs? A mom & pop site? What inspired it?

I don't require these answers but I appreciate a historical perspective.
