The first thing that crossed my mind was this. Fifty nine cruise missiles to take out an Air force base?

We all watched as one cruise missile blew the crap out of a big building from a hell of a long way off in Iraq...I'm WTF is Trump rotating his stock? Then I remembered that there are different configurations of cruise missiles including some that can take out bunkers a goodly ways under ground also that Heat fucks up that kind of gas.

Then if though I believe some hangers were left...I think he got his message across.

That photo with Mnuchin, Kushner, Bannon et al. in the picture was a pathetic attempt to recreate the situation room photo from the Get Osama mission -- with the implication being that this was a mission of the same general level of importance. They really do believe that PR is everything in this White House.

I believe it was worthwhile to send a message regarding the use of chemical weapons, but virtually all the commentary about it has been ridiculous (not just the commentary here, where "ridiculous" goes without saying). Reading through the long thread on this incident, it became obvious to me that not a single GB wingnut was aware that we've been involved in Syria militarily for several years already.

There are some hanger shells left but they were either penetrated and destroyed or flown into and destroyed. They took out everything but the runway and the Sarin gas, but everything else that would otherwise make it an airfield.

I don't believe minding our own business is always the right thing to do and I do believe bombing someone who uses chemical weapons on civilians is the correct action.
Whether he did it for votes or the good of humanity or because his daughter sat on his lap and cooed in his ear doesn't make much difference in the end.
