About the Chat feature

Hi Folks,

I'm hoping this is the right place to be posting this.

I made the account for the chat feature. It's the first time I've tried it. The problem is, when I click on the chat thing and the new window opens up and starts initialising.... that's it. It just stays on that and gets nowhere at all.

I'm aware that it's on a testing stage or something, so I don't know if that's what the issue is? Has anyone else had this problem and is it widespread or is it just something wrong at my end?

Thanks to anyone who replies and lets me know. Also, is there any way to fix it or make it more likely for me to be able to try logging into chat?

You will need to hit refresh a few times before it finally clicks in. The f5 button is the easiest way.

Refreshing does not appeared to have much effect. Unless of course there's a length of time I should be waiting between each refresh, but I did vary the waiting time for up to minute and all.

I'm guessing maybe it's what the link says about the admin responsible for chat not being around, if that still applies.

Thanks for the replies anyway... hopefully more info might come forth from other sources. I'll keep an eye on this thread anyway

I forgot to post a reply here in general. I finally got into chat, and yes, it was a matter of refreshing and re-opening the chat window.

Chat works when it wants to--- and doesn't most of the time. During high-use times it takes quite awhile to load.

Just open up the chat window - I never let the initilization page sit for more than 10-15 seconds. Sometimes it's taken me about half an hour or so of refreshing before it works.

Just open up the chat, if it doesn't load - highlight the URL and hit f5. Rinse and Repeat until your login box appears. I'd start in the lobby, it's normally pretty chill and fun there.
