About Mensa

( bowing head in respectful silence for Mensa and all those dear in his heart with the so many hearts he is now and always a part of )

I did not know nor meet Mensa and perhaps never will, but wished to take a few moments herein just the same. As similiar happened to me years ago with an on line brother. Whom was private, shared little of his personal life and prefered to share from where he was truly golden.. in heart.

He to disappeared unexpectedly with much conjecture to this day that he passed on, chose to leave or was in circumstances beyond his control to reply. As well then to for my brother was a lady dearly special in his heart as were those he loved as friends and family.

Though I do not know what happened with Mensa or with my brother. There was something that I did that has helped myself and others dear to him over the years. Made a web page with his favorite picture of a husky dog blended in to a nature scene with a rainbow.

Therein wrote a poem dedicated to he and his special ways. With his love of nature and all its bountiful beauties a song therein placed of native american flute. Whether he passed on or departed for otherwise unknown reasons its a special place where I can honor and be with my brother.

Though some day as I to will pass from this life and possibly that page will disappear. But the memories, in heart and spirit always he will be loved as he truly is.. my brother. He to wished for privacy always and I have honored that by not investigating further and forever there is a private place in my heart just for him.

We meet so many whom fuel our thoughts and hearts in multiple ways in this world of the net. Some met in passing, others friends to be, with many becoming loved as family. Inevitably there are those whom things dont go so well for with interactions with others.

But what really matters here is love, that which each and every one of you shares in your own special way with Mensa. No one can now nor ever take that away from you.. nor he.

( silent hearts blessings and hugs for those whom need them )

I thank you, as well, Wolf_Song.

Mensa was dear to many of us here, and always for the very best of reasons: he was a good person and, so, symbolic of that which makes Lit such a special place for so many.

Many of us will always hold a bit of a smile for him in our hearts.

When he is recovered and gets back ... he is gonna look at this thread and see how much everyone cares for him.

Then he is gonna kick all our asses for us.

Lets hope so <still crossing fingers>

Yesterday Chey told me she was gonna go buy and plant some forget-me-not's in Mensa's honor.

Today i copied her.

I like them.

They're out in the front of my yard, near my front steps, and i smile when i see them - just as Mensa made me smile time and time again to see him here.

As some of you know we reciently moved and forget-me-nots figure rather promrntly in our door yard. I still think that a host of cats named "Mensa" is the best possable tribute to the man, though.

My forget-me-nots are still blooming. Made me think of Mensa and this thread. It's been 10 years, but he isn't forgotten.

Yeah, good old Mensa was the first and perhaps the best of all the fake deaths on lit.

No one ever came to post to tell us he died. Mensa just disappeared from the board as well as emails with people from the GB.

Are you sure he died?

Maybe he suddenly found Lit and all of it's associates to be a pathetic waste of time.

Trying to think positively that is.

Prison is another possibility.

I remember when you could post as a guest.

That option saved a lot of free email accounts being created in the Alt process.

Some of the old posters that wanted to get rid of their Lit history had their name changed to guest on the way out the door. Others just used frogs.

Mostly lawyers and women. Not sure why.

I noticed that too.

There is only one person on this thread that I am happy about not posting anymore.

If you'd read the thread or known Mensa, you'd know that he had heart problems. Severe heart problems. The most likely, although not guaranteed, answer is that he passed on.

He had no reason to disappear. Not from here and not from other places he would frequent.

Forget-me-nots are appropriately named. They reseed so fast and furiously I have to weed them out of everything or be overtaken. Fortunately they are a beautiful flower...

... They reseed so fast and furiously ...

Don't they though!
