The demonstrators, some dressed as characters from “The Handmaid’s Tale,” have even disrupted masses and vandalized churches — a rare case of Poles lashing out at the government’s ally, the Catholic Church, in the staunchly Catholic country.

You know, it's not about a woman's body. It's about the life that has no choice growing inside of her.

Take preventive measures, but once you've created a new life, take responsibility.

:)

Everyone deserves a chance at life. What you do with it, whether it's change the world for the better, or throw it away and lose your right to it by taking someone else's, a person, no matter how young, deserves a chance to have one.

Take preventive measures, but once you've created a new life, take responsibility.

That's a fine standard to hold yourself to next time you get pregnant. It's none of your business if others feel the most responsible thing they could do is terminate the pregnancy.

Getting pregnant when you're not ready for a child is the most irresponsible thing two people can do.

So, there is nothing like killing an innocent person to make yourself feel responsible.

And to give birth to a child of rape (before you throw that out there)...it's not the person's fault how they were brought into the world. Trauma happens to people, otherwise we'd be living in Paradise.

But, I guess there is nothing more responsible to you than being selfish.

No doubt I wasted time responding to you, but thankfully you're the one who has to live with yourself.

Women: "Can I have birth control?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "I couldn't get birth control so I got pregnant. Can I have an abortion?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "You prevented me from having an abortion so I'm carrying the fetus, but my employer won't provide reasonable accommodations and is threatening to fire me. Would you please pass the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No"
Women: "I had the baby, but I'm out of work. Can I have WIC and food stamps until I get back on my feet?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "I found a job, but it doesn't offer me insurance. Can I have government guaranteed insurance?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "My kid got sick and I got fired because I missed time caring for him/her. Can I get unemployment?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "I'm having a hard time getting my kid from school consistently. Can we fund after-school programs?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No."
Women: "I'm prepared to work to support my family. Can you make sure that a full-time job's minimum wage is enough to do that?"
Republican Controlled Congress: "No. But what's the matter with you and your family, that working two jobs can't lift you out of poverty? And what kind of a mother are you, letting someone else watch your child while you work? If your child doesn't do well in school or gets in trouble, it's entirely your fault. You shouldn't have had a child if you weren't prepared to take care of him/her."

You wrote a lot of crap.

Do you think the government should be helping people achieve orgasm at their whim?

If people are going to have sex, have sex, but be responsible. Sex isn't spontaneous. If you can't plan ahead, then bare the consequences of your actions.

That's what it comes down to.

Women (and men): Can I have birth control?

Common Sense: Yeah, go buy it.

Women (and men): But we can't afford it.

Common Sense: Then maybe you shouldn't be fucking.

 ... the nerve of Common Sense.

Accidents happen, and not everyone shares your belief that a clump of tissue is "life". Besides, if you're going to make sure every woman who gets pregnant is going to have that baby, dammit, even if she was raped, then you ought to support at least making sure she has the tools to raise it. I don't suppose you support deadbeat dads legislation either, do you? Government meddling in the private lives of men who just want to be left alone to sow their wild oats?

Oh, and I almost forgot:

If people are going to have sex, have sex, but be responsible. Sex isn't spontaneous. If you can't plan ahead, then bare the consequences of your actions.

Then I take it you are opposed to the too-common Republican push for abstinence-only sex education, which effectively teaches teenagers not to bother using condoms?

Accidents happen....

When I say "take responsibility" I mean everyone involved.

And, let's face it, if a child cannot be taken care of, that's what the CPS is for.

Edit: But, if you teach someone responsibility at an early age, than that should encompass all aspects of life, not just sex. A cumulative understanding of this world is what is needed and it needs to start at a young age, not when the problem is slapping you in the face.

I'm for schools and parents teaching the young about sex and pregnancy. The cost of it. The responsibility of it. The science and biology of it. The odds of it happening to you. Plain and simple: Teach the entire reality of what it means to have a child.

One of the biggest problems in this world is there aren't enough people who know how to teach. Everyone can tell a person to do something, but rarely can they make them understand why.

(Just because I don't like the democrats as a whole, doesn't mean I agree with everything Republicans stand for. That's the problem you Bidummies: You only see things in black and white.)

:)

Man that was really a bunch of bullshit, starting from the first premise. I can't think of any instance where Republicans said a woman cannot have contraception. Contraception is available virtually anywhere

Good thing I live in the USA where we are progress about this issue and women have the right to decide what happened to them with their doctor...

...vs a set of rules from 1500 years ago from some seriously backward thinking poeple.

And what about the Fathers rights? The Grandparents Rights? Hell the rest of the family?

In this day and age of Birth control the after fact pill a reasonable time can be set for changing the mind, or in the events of genetic testing there is No excuse for the whole sale murder of unborn humans in this country.

People should be at least held accountable to the same standards as if they were driving a automobile.

Enough of this bullshit.

Roe VS Wade needs to be trash canned it is badly written anyway. and a new Abortion laws out in place

Abortion IS NOT birth control! These are two separate things an it's about time we said so.

If only leftist had the same kind of respect for individualism and liberty for other economic exchanges!!! :D

Freedom is a right wing thing though so I understand.

We used to have Irish women coming to the UK for abortions. Now we will have Polish women too.

First off, CPS is in no way capable nor responsible for being able to raise a healthy child! That’s not their role, nor should it be. I’m all for taking responsibility, which in some cases really does mean having an abortion. Taking responsibility for one’s actions and choices also means that religious conservatives need to take some ownership of their contributions to unplanned pregnancies. Waging war on sex education, and access to birth control, demanding “abstinence only” sex education, etc, have had the predictable effect of more unwanted pregnancies and more abortions.

I completely concur with everything you wrote about education, and the need for more skilled educators. It would be a far better country if the Republicans in power for the last 40 years or so shared your sentiments there!

Germany and the Czech Republic are already preparing for it.

I'm not surprised. The Polish government has shot itself in the foot. Pissing off half the electorate is not a good move.

I might be wrong but wasn't this done by their equivalent of a supreme court?

First off, CPS is in no way capable nor responsible for being able to raise a healthy child!

Did I say they were. They are part of a "system" that's supposed to ensure children are provided for.

A system...and like systems, it could be improved, but it's there.

So, there is nothing like killing an innocent person to make yourself feel responsible.

The science and the biology of it is that a fetus isnt a person

You are absolutely correct that that there isnt enough people to teach, because your education on the topic is borderline moronic

And what about the Fathers rights?

Untill he can carry the child to term, he has no say

The Grandparents Rights?

Unless the grandparents plan to carry thier child to term ( and just fyi, fetuses cant teleport from womb to womb, so only one these impreganted would get that choice)

Hell the rest of the family?

Unless your fourth cousin twice removed who is serving a life sentence for blowing up a church is carrying the fetus to term, they dont get a say

In this day and age of Birth control the after fact pill a reasonable time can be set for changing the mind, or in the events of genetic testing there is No excuse for the whole sale murder of unborn humans in this country.

People should be at least held accountable to the same standards as if they were driving a automobile.

A driver can also chose to not have passengers. Your analogy is that the driver should not be allowed to pull over and ask their passenger to get out

Enough of this bullshit.

Roe VS Wade needs to be trash canned it is badly written anyway. and a new Abortion laws out in place

One written only by people that have the reproductive system neccessary to incubate life would be a good start

The science and the biology of it is that a fetus isnt a person

You need to educate yourself on what happens when a sperm fertilizes an egg.

You are absolutely correct that that there isnt enough people to teach, because your education on the topic is borderline moronic

You think you're a mean, tough bitch, huh?

Bringing out this persona to talk some laughable "crap" because you're blinded by beliefs that you decided were true regardless of the fact they are based on falsehoods.

Stay angry, since you Can't Understand Normal Things.

:)

It's my business if you use my tax money!

You need to educate yourself on what happens when a sperm fertilizes an egg.

SO? Do you think a fertilized egg is a viable human being ? Miscarriage is not manslaughter buddy

You think you're a mean, tough bitch, huh?

I think I have more then your sunday school education about sex

Bringing out this persona to talk some laughable "crap" because you're blinded by beliefs that you decided were true regardless of the fact they are based on falsehoods.

What falsehood? Your entire argument is based around a fertilized egg

Stay angry, since you Can't Understand Normal Things.

I'm not angry, I'm just frustrated that people like you who lack the basic understanding of human reproduction try lecturing us that do
