A wonderful friend once held the philosophy that EVERYONE has been an ASSHOLE at some time to someone. Sometimes it helps us all keep in perspective that we are human as well as expressing regrets over the situation.
HERE's THE CHALLENGE:
Be HONEST. Tell us YOUR ASSHOLE STORY. What did you do that at least upon reflection MADE YOU AN ASSHOLE -- even if only for a day.
To start:
I once was involved with a woman who left for a trip around the world. When she left I had promised to wait for her return. While she was gone I hooked up with another woman. I ignored her phone calls from places like Kamchatka. I finally got trapped on the phone with her at a friend's house -- the one with the philosophy -- she was standing in a phone booth in the rain in Australia. I hung up on her.
I've never broken a promise to anyone since.
