A World Untamed...

Shadow

After the entire fiasco had died down a little for the time being, I made my way over towards the beaten Brendan. Knowing best to keep my distance while he was still mad, I asked him, "Hey, are you going to be okay?"

He shot me a look that said more then words could have done on their own. Grimly nodding, I respond, "Okay, that was a stupid question. But now is not the time for licking our wounds. We have to act, and we have to do it now."

Sara seemed to know exactly where to go. It was odd, there were many soldiers, mostly undead and weird creations of magic that passed, but not one of them noticed Sara or Sabaka. It was almost as if the bear was possessed, knowing exactly where to go to find this girl.
Sabaka knew this had to be more than a coincidence, but he let it go for now. Thoughts became conclusions before evidence usually proved to blow up in his face. He continued to follow the bear.
There was a small hole in the ground, leading down a shaft. Sara sniffed the hole intentionally, making her way down. Sabaka followed, keeping a clear eye out for anyone around. Emtpy as usual.
If he weren't sure she was just a bear and this was her first time here, he could have sworn it took her years to plan this. He never would have gotten this far without her.
Sara stopped at a long line of small barred windows. Each looked into a cell, covered in straw and shit. At the end Sara lowered her head, peering into one of the windows.
Sabaka looked.
There she was, the woman, or girl, or whatever. She was in there... with Sith. Shit. Sabaka watched carefully, he was barely able to hear them.
She was completely naked, but her skin seemed burned partially. She needed help fast, there was something wrong with her. This wasn't normal though, those burns looked too odd to be part of her. If he had been closer, he would have sworn it was like the bark of a tree when it burns. Yet the window was too far off to distinguish anything.
"We'll wait until Sith leaves, to talk to her," he whispered to Sara. She nodded, even though he didn't think she understod him. He watched the scene with great interest.

Gaia

I reached for the staff, my eyes widened as he took it away, I wasn't weak, just the pain. It hurt so badly.

I could not concentrate. I fell forward, then my clothes began to rip from my body. Uttering a startled cry, I made a hurried attempt to cover myself. I shivered as the burn upon my stomach was left to the air.

I stared through narrow tear-filled eyes. My staff was ripped from his hands, and I sent it crashing into his chest. I could not concentrate well enough and just cause a painful stab to him.

I brought my knees to my chest and a tear rolled down my cheek. I whimpered then drew in a breath as the burn on my stomach moved with my movements.

The tear, it fell silently, leaving a trail of light shimmering green, only to form into a leaf and lay at my feet.

"You are evil." I whispered.

I looked up at him, a blanket of leaves lay sprawled at my feet.

I saw him staring at me. My lip quivered in a sneer. I closed my eyes.

The forest was hurting. I could feel it. I didn't care about anything else. I could feel Bear ravaging and running wildly through the forest.

No one could protect it, and therefore, no one could protect me.

I shakily stood up. Holding back the wince. My hands gripped at my sides in fists.

Robert Sith:

"Druid, you could not comprehend true evil. I have converced with demon's... Walked in their realms... Seen the torture's wrought upon damned souls... Until you understand evil as well as I, I suggest you hold your tongue... Or I will cut it from your mouth!" He said as he went about opening a dementional pocket to hide her prescious staff in.

Gargoyle:

Along the first ridge of Sith's tower there were stone statues of gnarled, hunched over demonesque being's. Or so the common snoop would think. They were infact gargoyle's, created and controled as sentries by Sith. One shifted its head to gaze down upon the intruder, its stoney jaws bristed, and a peble sized chunk broke free, plopping into the sugary sand only a foot from Sabaka's crouched form.

Brendan:

"My sister... If I do anything... That monster will harm her for sure!" Brendan lamented as his mind cast about this dilema. He Stood, clenching and unclenching his fists. "I can't just set here though... He turned to the rest of them, wordlessly seeking their help.

Kitt

Holding her hand firmly over the wound she had been given as a dragon, and still carried in her human form, she stepped forward to the group.

"We need to find Celest and set her free, she will know what to do from there. The feeling we all got came from that direction *pointing North* I sugest we start there."

Lokken collapsed against the tree, weakened and tired. It had taken all his strength to simply stand straight, and now that strength was gone. "Does anyone here know how to heal?" he asked quietly. He would help them get Gaia back, even though he barely knew her. He had helped to cause her imprisonment, after all. He smiled weakly at Drusilla.

Shadow

Nodding over at Kitts suggestion, I agreed, "That would probably be the best for us to do at this point. It would seem that we're not ready for facing someone like Sith right now."

Walking over towards Lokken, I wasn't sure if Kitt could deal to heal him at this point. She had already used that on Cryo but a few minutes ago. Then Brendan's sister probably had a few possible cures back in their cottage. Didn't know much about health potions, but I did know we needed him healthy for the travel ahead us.

Kitt

Lokken was in need of healing, and that was something i could never leave undone, no matter how weak i was. Kneeling down beside him, i called apon the forces of the universe to come forth and offer their strength in healing him, giving his body what it needed to heal itself, at least enough to get him up and mobile. The heat between my hands and his flesh was increasing and i knew the energy was flowing into him. When they cooled, i sat back, resting for a moment.

Sabaka left the vent (the only way I can figure a gargoyle saw us was if we were outside...) with Sara in his heels. SIth would be there awhile it seemed, so he wanted to go back and tell Rocky what the plan was.
Not that there was a plan, but if there was it seemed that...
it was raining pebbles?
He looked up contemptuously. A twinge came into his heart as he saw a beast looking down upon him. He relaxed however as he saw it was merely a statue. They made them so lifelike didn't they, it almost seemed to breathe as it's gaze went towards them.
Sara began to growl menacingly at it.
"Calm down, we need to be quiet. There could be..."
The statue jumped down between them.
Sara attacked. It took Sabaka a moment to realize what was going on before his sword came out as well. Sara kept the thing pretty much at bay, but as to his sword, it did little effect on the stone creature. Desperately he looked into his bag for something more helpful.
A hammer.
Not his weapon of choice, but it would have to do in a situation like this. He knocked the thing upside the head, making his hand vibrate in utter pain. He watched the monster carefully.
It shook it's head, paused a second, and went on attacking. Sara had a few dashes in her side, but nothing really serious. Sabaka decided to go for one of the limbs. An arm. He knocked down hard, making sure to keep a good grip on it. The creature swiped with it's claws at the last moment, leaving a bloody mark on his chest, but the damage was done. One of it's arms lay helpless on the ground.
He would go for the legs next, Sabaka hoped that Sara could keep up a few seconds more. Without her, he knew he would be dead already.

Brendan:

"We need to gather some stuff from my sister's cabin..." Brendan said softly, he couldn't help the feeling of defeat in his heart, Sith held all the cards it would seem... To act would bring her nothing but pain... But he had to... "Some fancy potions and stuff I think... Not sure what they do though..."

Gargoyle:

The stoney creature made no utterence at the loss of its arm, it simply launched itself at Sabaka, nocking him off his feet, pinning him to the sandy ground, its tusked mouth lurched forward in an attempt to savage Sabaka's throat.

Gaia

"I know evil. I know it when it stands before me. "

My eyes flashed, the dark deep rich brown seemingly casting a glow for the faintest of moments.

"I would like my staff back. "I said.

"Now." I said calmly, my voice as clear and as calm as the ripples on the lake near my cabin.

I stood. My naked form not ashamed. I looked at the man, almost eye to eye, for my height was nothing to scoff at.

I bit my lower lip. "I would like my staff back." I said, this time more commanding. Though, my eyes showed no emotion.

I blinked.

"If you will not give a fellow druid her staff, then what do you want with me?"

Robert Sith:

"Fellow Druid?" Sith said with a laugh. "Dear me... I am no druid, and you are not my fellow... You are my prisoner. You are here to ensure your brother does not threaten my rise to immortality, silly child... You are mearly a tool, nothing more..."

Shadow

With Lokken healed once again, we followed Brendans lead to his sister's cabin. Reaching the cabin, I told him, "If you need help with that stuff, just ask and I can give you a hand."

Was a little hesitant about touching his sisters stuff right now. Didn't know much about Brendan's feelings towards that, and had not wished to find out the hard way. Once we grabbed Gaia's things, we were going to have to hurry. Things were not going great for us at all.

A lifetime adventure cut short because some stupid gargoyle had to be all alive and shit. Sabaka closed his eyes, half expecting the stony jaws to be enclenched in his throat.
Sara tackled him hard, making the gargoyle fly into the air, hitting a brick wall. It fell down, obviously hurt. Although, how a stone creature could feel pain was beyond him. Sabaka didn't waste time to think of such ildut inferancies. He leaped at the thing, striking it in the head. It crumbled to the ground, broken in pieces.
Sabaka was not satisfied, he hit it repeatedly. Over and over and over again until none of the pieces were much bigger than pebbles.
Finally able to regain his composure, Sabaka looked at the scene before him. The alley was still dark, but he sensed things nearby. As if to counter the matter, he heard footsteps. In an instant he was back inside the small vent, Sara right beside him. He closed up the entrance, praying that no one had seen or heard him.
"What is this here?"
"One of the Gargoyle's, smashed."
"Shit. It must have been that idiot boy. Take him to a prison cell at once, his death will be slow and steady.
"Aye sir."
Idiot boy? Oh no, they didn't mean...

Rocky had just wanted to help, that's all. Sabaka was supposed to be back at the shed an hour ago. He must have been lost or something, so Rocky went looking for him. HE made sure that Ferdy stay behind. Ferdy was such a little trooper.
Rocky didn't think anyone would find him. He was led down a dark hall. He didn't like this place at all, it was dark and gruesome and made him think their were bad things in here. He screamed as a small rat ran across the floor. One of the guards kicked him in the shins, telling him to shut up. He kept his screaming down as they made their way through a bunch of alleys and corridors.
He just wanted to go home.
"You..." a guard approached him. He looked at the man with wide eyes.
"Did you destroy the gargoyle?"
A garlogyle? Rocky wasn't sure what that was, he couldn't even pronounce it. Grolygal? Gorillalyge? Whatever it was, he didn't do it. Rocky was about to shake his head.
What if Sabaka did it? Sabaka destroyed a gorgalyte and now they thought it was him. Sabaka wasn't caught after all, YEAH!!! Now, all he had to do was make sure that Sabaka stayed free so h could rescue him.
"It was I... I killed the," better not call it a gorgonallegy, "thing."
The man gave a stern nod, and let him be. Rocky tried to play it cool and safe, but he was so scared.

Gaia

I stared at him. "That is right, you aren't a druid, you are lower than a druid."

I was getting pissed, I motioned towards my lack of clothing. "was there some sort of purpose for that?"

My eyes narrowed. At my feet the leaves began to form vines and wind up my body. "I am no child. My age is exactly 134 centuries, three years, two months and six days."

I stepped towards him. "You will not hurt my brother."

My brow furrowed in anger and thought.

Cain:

"Your brother will not be harmed... Neither will you as long as the fool stays away..." Roberts said with a small smirk. A black armored servant rushed into the room. "Sire, there is a... Matter of some interest I beleive you might wish to see..." Sith shifted his eyes toward the man. "Excuse me, druid... It would seem I have other matter's to attend to..." Turning away, the two of them left the room. "What is this about?" Sith demanded with mild annoyance. "Sire... Its... You would not believe me Sire... You must see..." The guards voice seemed shaken, as though he had seen a ghost. Sith could only scowl, if it had been any of the lesser men in his employ... He would have pressed the matter, but this one had served him for a very long time.

OOC: I am assuming that Rocky has been caught by the guards?

Sabaka watched as the man spoke with the woman. She was a druid, he overheard that. They seemed to be having a very heated situation.
A druid? Why did that ring a bell? He wondered what she really was doing here. This seemed to be an odd kidnapping, especially someone of a religious nature.
Sara licked her wounds. One scratch was particularly deep. He wished that perhaps he could get her to someone who could help, but it was hopeless. He couldn't walk three feet out of this place without an army waging war against him. He would have to find another way out. It would be through the prison, and it would have to be with that woman.
Sabaka tore a piece of his shirt and tied it sparingly on the bear's arm. Her eyes thanked him as she licked his hands. He smiled, placing a kiss on her nose.
"Now, be quiet Sara," he whispered.
There seemed to be a commotion coming from the other side of the prison. Sabaka crawled over there, wondering what the news was. He hoped it didn't have anything to do with him. The gargoyle said more about his presence than anything. If they were to search everywhere for him, it would only be a matter of time before...
Sabaka stared wide eyed at Rocky in a cell. He cursed to himself silently. He shouldn't have left the man alone. Nothing could be helped though. He would just have to scale two prison breaks instead of one. The guards all seemed to be creating quite a fuss with him however. He wondered what the problem was.

Ooc:Unless of course there are any other guards running around in your kingdom.

Rocky narrowed his eyes as he looked at the guard standing before his cell.
"Get me better food than this fool. I have seen swine eat better."
The guard took the tray of food and ran for the kitchen. He was so scared. Rocky smiled and jumped for joy. It had worked, all of his skills pretending to be some mean and angry person had paid off and they thought he was a mean person.
He had to keep this up though. If anyone found out that he were really scared that would be the end of him. Rocky didn't think anyone would test him, they were so afraid of him already. All he had to do was make up this act for a few hours and they would probably let him go.
"WHO DO I HAVE TO KILL TO GET A CLEAN CELL AROUND HERE?" He yelled quite contemptuously. His own voice frightened him a little, he never knew he was capable of such evil yelling. A guard ran into his cell and cleaned it up.
This was so much fun, maybe he could even get someone to free that one person they were after. This seemed a most beneficial action for them all, didn't it.
Rocky couldn't wait to tell Sabaka about it.

Gaia

Just because I was a druid, did not mean that I knew nothing other than earth magic. I just didn't practice it.

For that fact, I hadn't practiced ANY magic unless within the forest.

I may be about 100 centuries rusty, but I was getting mad.

Temper temper....my 'mother' once told me.

Yeah, temper.

The vines grew and wound around my body, odd looking actually.

I went for the door. Something magical held it in place. This place was crawling with bad vibes.

My brow furrowed in frustration. I couldn't get the portal to open again.

If anything was to work, or work easier, I needed my staff.

Closing my eyes, I felt the room's scent change, the leaves around my body had begun to spin a spell.

Or rather, not a spell, but magic.

The room began to fill with vines, large vines, the ground cracked and shoots began to weave themselves through the web-like cracks.

When I opened my eyes, I had forgotten where I was, that is when the room went dark, I realized where I was...the plants turned to thistles and sharp thorns; the leaves around my body turned to a dark black. I began to send the vines towards the door.

The vines quickly covered it, making entrance quit impossible.

I checked for windows, only one.

My face shadowed, my eyes serious, my look...awfully determined.

Uttering a few words. I dared not speak the workings of the druids, for that, I even , in all my time, did not dare to touch. It was far more powerful than the world could probably handle.

The days of the druids were quickly drawing to a close. I wasn't about to make them quicker. It could have been a myth that the language of the druids held a deep and horrible curse...but you don't want to be the one to find out whether you are right or wrong.

I got hoisted to the window. The room looked like a tangled web of poisonous plants and horrible weavings of thorns. The room was filled. I could no longer see the door.

That is when I reached the window. I saw something. It looked...almost...like a bear.

my eyes flashed. Soothing words of the spirit bear flowed from my mouth. I urged the creature to come forward. THere was nothing to fear...

Robert Sith:

Walking into the second bank of cell's Robert followed the pale guard. They stopped before the cell containing Rocky, and the guard motioned for Sith to look. Sith turned his eyes upon the captive... And stepped back with a gasp. "Rockingham?!" He said with a strange edge to his voice.

She just broke open the cell with vines? He was shocked, utterly shocked and amazed. She just made up a forestin the middle of a cell and decided to leave on her own accord.
Sara walked up to her calmly enough. Sabaka himself was a little sceptical, but his entire purpose for being here was to save her. He might as well get introductions overwith.
"Hello," he said in a dull whisper. He smiled kindly to her.
"We don't have much time. Sara and I, "he motioned towards the bear, "We have come here to rescue you. If you hurry, we can all make it out of here alive."
He paused, wanting to tell the girl more, and ask questions... many questions, but felt this wasn't the place or time. They would come back for Rocky soon enough, he needed to get her out of here.
Sara was already helping her towards the open vent. Sabaka paused, taking a long brown shirt out of his knapsack. He blushed as he handed it to her.

They even knew his name here. He hadn't given his name to anyone. At least he didn't think he had. He was almost positive he hadn't, but perhaps one of them had sneaked his name past him. Those devil fools.
He still pretended to be brave, despite the look of this man. It was the dark man from the forest, oh no... His face looked of cold steel. At least he hoped it did.
"You sir, I demand to be out of this cage at once. I am attending a dinner party, and without my good suit people will start to talk."
He paused, wondering what he was talking about.
"You see..." he was searching now," ummm, my suit is at Sara the Bear's store and I need the help of a Ferdy who has a chocobo driven carriage to get there. If I am let out here, I can go on my merrily way, and we can forget this entire thing ever happened."
Whew... he had never remembered talking so long before. He wasn't even sure if he bought the explanation, but there was always a chance. He stood, acting as if he had little patience.

Robert Sith:

Sith's look became suspicious. "You are most obviously not Rockingham... I demand you relinquish whatever glamore you have in place to play such a distasteful joke upon me. NOW!" Sith seemed to become enraged at the drop of a hat. "Explain yourself! Why are you here? Are you some sort of an assassin? Did the guild of wizards send you?!" All the questions began to flow from Sith's lips. He halted, then glared harshly upon Rocky. "I DEMAND you stop mocking me with the visage of my dead aprentice!" Sith said with a startling forcefulness.

lol......I accidently hit 'new thread' before...I'm so blonde...

GAIA:"you will be safe" I whispered, my voice sounded as if the wind were speaking it.

Taking the shirt, I didn't really realize until then that maybe I should cover up. Letting the coarse fabric slip over my skin, it covered me nicely. My height was sort of a nuisance to cover up, our exit would have to be careful.

I looked at the bear ahead of me. It was hurt.

I winced, I felt connected to it, most likely due to the nature of MY totem pole.

"I am Gaia." I said, I filled in the crawl space behind us with vines. "I cannot leave here, he will punish my brother."

I knew the vines in the room were still growing, pushing on the walls. I felt the tunnel begin to shake, the room must have begun to collapse. We would surely be covered and buried alive. My head whipped backwards, the vines began to harden into gnarled wood, My head whipped back and forth between the 'floor' and 'ceiling'. I was weaving reinforcements. "I'm sorry."

I felt horrible. This man and his bear...they were in danger...it was my fault...
