Surprise I am not going to be confrontational, demeaning or arguementative. I just wanted to say I hi, and hope you all are doing well.

If you happen to want nonconfrontational biblical answers give me a shout.

I am one of the few I know that state and practice the belief "Love the sinner hate the sin" In that I may not agree with alternative sexual lifestyle, I still care and like the individual partaking of it.

I won't be preaching any you got to get saved and straight crap that you have heard a thousand hundred times already before.

I just wanted to be a friend and show that christians can be unhateful despite our media bias presence in the world where we shouldn't be.

take care Todd

Hmm... interesting

I will be very interested to see where this thread goes...

One of the wise men was very tall.

When he entered the barn where the baby had just been born he wacked his head very hard on a beam.,

He shouted Jesus Christ.

Joseph turned to Mary and said, "Quick write that down, it's a hellofalot better than Clyde.

Thanks for not preaching. I've had more than enough in my short life.

Feel free to join some of the debates and discussions though. We all could learn something. ;)

Hmm, I consider myself a Christian, but I have no issues with my bisexuality and my faith. I always held to my own personal opinion that the Bible has lost and gained many things in translation. A lot of it boils down to...how can love be wrong. I can see if someone were to make the point about adultery and premarital sex, but not love. 2 consenting adults showing their love for each other can't be wrong, IMO.

Not for nothin but I have a big problem with christianity. It has, in general, an awful lot of blood and destruction on its hands, and more than its share of hypocracy. I do not allow them to judge me or should I say I do not allow myself to hear there judgement. It is based on a false premise in my view.

What was the point of this thread, exactly? Reading between the lines, it still sounds like preaching to me...

As a christian do you often take the name of the lord in vain ?

lol

If Todd says he wants to be a friend to people on this board, I believe him.

I don't think its right that he should have his beliefs made fun of when he comes here and makes a post of support for us.

Todd's a good guy. A class act, in my book. I've known him in various forms from my early days of Lit. I've always respected him and his beliefs. I might not agree with them all, but I do respect him for his convictions.

:)

I'm against all religions.

Something all religions have in common is the philosofy that you should be nice and generous to other people. OK, so far, so good.

Then we have the worshipping part. Believe in something greater than yourself, call it nice names, and shower it in offerings, be they prayers or sacrifices, and you shall receive hope and comfort in bad times, and a nice reward after you die.
Being a socialist, I find the idea of anyone or anything being bigger than myself ridiculus. Any being that demands me grovelling is stroking me against my fur.

And then we have the rules and regulations. OK, so we make certain rules: don't steal, don't lie, don't cheat, etc. Excellent. But then we go over board - don't eat that, don't fuck with him/her, don't fuck at all until you're married, don't have an abortion...

And the "we-re-right-the-rest-of-the-world-is-wrong-that-means-that-we're-better-than-them" attitude..!

That's not what it's supposed to be all about. Religion, in its truest form, is about being considerate to all other living creatures. It's not about rules and restrictions. It's not about what name you use, it's not about how many gods and goddesses you have, it's not about who you fuck and what you eat and how you dress.

That's just what patriarchal societies are telling you in order to oppress you.

I'm all for the first part; about being nice to others. That's my religion. As for everything else... oh, where's a mooning smiley when you need one?

Thank you for the voucher support

No problem dude.

Like JB said, you came to be friendly and people right away start sniping. Whats with that bullshit?

hello .....welcome to the board.
[hijack] stalking Mz. Christa[/hijack]

anyway...from what i have seen here, Todd stopped in to say hello and everyone jumped him. So what if he is a christian? Who gave us the right to judge whether or not he means what he says? You know, we can not judge everyone by the sins of the few. If that were so, we would never have gotten this far. Come on people, lets be fair!!!

Non-confrontational biblical advice? It certainly seems you are baiting and fishing here...

Your threads always want so kindly to offer "advice". ... but, if you remember, I was non-confrontational and you still haven't answered my questions regarding animals having souls... care to go there again? I'll dig up the posts if you'd like...

What are you trying to stir up here?

I hope what I said didn't get taken by him the wrong way. I respect his right to his opinion and views. I just thanked him for not trying to preach to me about how evil I am is all. I wouldn't mind discussing/debating his views with him sometime. As I said, we all could learn something. ;)

I think Todd is pretty cool from the posts I've read, so far.

You are right on naughty... if more people read between the lines (meaning be more aware or awake), not only here, but in life collectively, we'd wouldn't be such followers... individuality is so much more freeing...

Todd? What's your take on leaving the fold to explore other possibilities?
