I wasn't sure where this would go, because it isn't really my work... this is a new take on an old Christmas carol. My beloved and I wrote this years ago (in the last century;-). Most people we have sung this to have just gaped at us. We know it's kind of ghastly, and it was this Passion of Christ hoopla that brought it to mind. I thought this group might just appreciate the effort.
To the tune of "Away in a Manger":
TWENTY FIRST CENTURY SAVIOR
Kerplunk in a dumpster
He's dropped on his head
The losers who bore him
They left him for dead
They must have been fucked up
And high smoking hash
Those friggin' rat bastards
Threw him in the trash
The homeboys were blowing
The crack that they made
A loanshark is breaking
Some legs to get paid
Our Mary and Joseph
Well, they just skipped town
Before the lord Jesus
Makes noise and is found
Y'all have a nice day!
