I just discovered something I found very funny and thought I'd share it with the group.

Right now I'm writing a piece of erotic fiction. The main characters name is Will. Anyway, at one part of the story, Will has met a woman, and is helping her out with something (No, not THAT something). Anyway, I was proofreading the first few pages, when this sentence started a new paragraph:

"Rand worked for roughly an hour..."

Did you notice? No? Read it again.

If you still don't get it, notice that I said the character's name is Will, not Rand-- Rand is just my fake name here. These brings some funny things:

Why the hell did I type a name that I sometimes go by. And why, if I was that caught up in the writing, did I type "Rand", and not my real name?

Anyway, I thought it was funny... :)

That's happened alot in the Roleplaying room I frequent; my screen name for when I'm OOC, Eliza, and my favorite character's name, Eustacia, are interchangable in the minds of most of the people I know in there. Another character will call my char Eliza, or someone will introduce me as Eustacia.

Eustacia Vye, BTW, is the kickass antiheroine from Thomas Hardy's book Return of the Native. And actually, my best friend IRL who has no interest in roleplaying, has called me Eustacia herself on a few rare occasions.

(This is, of course, because I am Eustacia Vye incarnate, but you didn't hear that from me. ;) )
