A useful indictment of the media which shape our supposedly independent POVs

Good article, and it runs counter to TehNarrative™ promoted by the RWCJ guys here on a daily basis: Actions can and do have consequences

I like the part about the western media showing us mortaring "evildoers"... a thump, and then a puff of smoke on the horizon. It doesn't show the effects of mortaring, shredded bodies, flaming homes, etc.

And yet the Republican candidates for President continue to blithely advocate "carpet bombing" as a primary response to those who offend us.

Somewhere, Murica lost its moral compass.

Commercially-supported media are in the business of delivering eyeballs and minds to marketers, not supplying impartial information. (I include sponsored 'public' nets like PBS/NPR here.) Pointing out that 'we' kill a lot more of 'them' than vice-versa doesn't advance marketing and thus is omitted.

Do not mention that Xian terrorists have killed many more USAnians than have Muslim (or Hindu or Tamil or Shinto) terrorists. That message will not go over well in USA. Kill the messenger... no, don't bother, the messenger will remain mute.

And now we return to Dancing With The Stars.
