Is America really a Banana Republic?

1) They have lost of Banana Republic outlets in malls.

2) They put bananas on their cereal.

3) They readily claim that they're already a "Republic".

4) "Banana" and "America" have some of the same letters.

It's so obvious.

Bush has gone power mad! This quote from Bush at a conference in Central America (source SpuriousCredentials.com) just in:

"I am your new President. From this day on, the official language of San Marcos will be Swedish. In addition to that, all citizens will be required to change their underwear every half hour. Underwear will be worn on the outside... so we can check."

Woody Allen should go back to making comedies.

Yeah. I admired "Deconstructing Harry". I thought "Aphrodite" was amusing. But I haven't really enjoyed anything since "Manhattan Murder Mystery", which is one of his best. "Small Time Crooks" and "Jade Scorpion" were more annoying than anything else, with just snippets of great dialogue and situations.

Yes, because I haven't heard in months now just how smart he is. Or how even though he's short and nerdish movie stars still find him irresistible.

That Woody Allen is so smart, and even though he's short and nerdish, movie stars still find him irresistable.

Small nerdish guys who got laid in movie after movie:

Humphrey Bogart
Alan Ladd
Tom Cruise
Nelson Eddy
Michael J. Fox

Do Humphrey Bogart and Alan Ladd really qualify as "nerdy"?

Back to topic...

Speaking of nerds, I understand that according a new report on the Guam Radio Network (overnight broadcast) that George Bush and his cabinet use the White House War Room to play Pokemon Card Battles. Isn't it time America called out "Al Gore! We choose you!"?
