A totally self-absorbed thread...

I am sorry about your friend!

To your moral question all I have to say is :D

which lens and shutter speed would you use?
I usually rely on the auto mode in such situations. If it was during the day I would probably go for a longer exposure and wider shutter opening so I could emphasize the water rushing past him as his fingers lost their grip.:D

I would pick a faster shutter speed (I want to make sure it does not come out fuzzy if its an action shot) and a bigger f-stop.

Id take a picture of him hanging there. then put the camera down and snap the branch or what ever he was holding onto so he falls in the river then snap a few more shots...

automatic setting

and time lapse to capture the moment.;)

That's a tough one -

I mean, there is a $25 million reward for him, and I'd LOVE to see the prick on trial anyway. But what a great photo. I'd try to take a couple fo pics and then see if there was a safe way to rescue and subdue him. But he's a big guy, and he lives on dust and rocks, and I wouldn't ever want to take a chance on his getting away.... So, the picture.

I would pull him out. i may sound crazy but such a person cannot be allowed such an easy death. I would pull him out for torturing nad I have a very sick mind when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I wonder

if OBL is ticklish ??????????????????????????????

Omg!!!! The shot would win. This shutterbug would die happily with such a shot. ( gawd, do I sound psychotic or what?)

OBL

reading those initials made me think about ODB (Old Dirty Bastard) and I began to reflect on what words we could use to represent the initials OBL instead of his name.

How about:

Oil Baron Lunatic?

I don't know, he isn't exactly a small man. I'd be afraid he'd kill me or something once I got him out. He doesn't really come off as the grateful type to me. Then I'd be the idiot who saved him just so he could go about his bombing business.
