I wonder if the feeling you get is that you are giving him pleasure? When I do this, I get gratification from knowing that I have pleased him. I suppose there is some power in that, knowing that I have been the one to make him cum

Are you doing what he's asking of you? If he asks you to jerk him off and he comes do you feel like you've given up something? It would appear to me that you were perfectly submissive. I don't think there's anything wrong with a submissive having a sense of impowerment.
