We’ve noticed a number of posts by people looking for relationships and we thought we’d start a thread for online couples who met on Lit. We’ve often wondered how people found each other out here and how they manage their relationships, especially if they’re married in “real life.”
We’ll start! We met here on Lit over two years ago and have been inseparable ever since. We’re both happily married to wonderful partners but at the same time we are devoted to each other. Our primary challenge, other than the ache of long-distance longing, is finding enough time in our busy lives. We message with our coffee each morning, we often have a Skype lunch together, and we end the day together. Our lives feel wonderfully intertwined. Early on, we made the decision to be exclusive. What we do out here we do together; we never play or have individual connections with others. We joke that we’ve become an old married couple--except that the sex is amazing!! We do enjoy connecting as a couple with men and women every so often, but we also find it difficult to find the time and opportunity to talk or cam with others.
Are there others out here in a similar situation? How long have you been together? What is the secret to your success? What are the challenges you’ve faced? How does your online relationship differ from your real-world ones? Perhaps Lit needs an entire forum for couples!
