This one came to me recently:
In a dystopian future, the Emperor of Shagron has an...interesting way of testing new courtiers: he locks them in a portion of his harem for a night and a day, and informs him he may do whatever he likes with the concubines.
The thing is, only half the concubines are actually female. The other half are men who, through surgery, hormone treatments, and psycho-conditiong look and act like women. Half of them even have female genitalia, while the remaining half have withered, non-functioning phalluses.
Asides from this, it is impossible to ascertain the true gender of a concubine.
The concubines wear garments desgined to expose everything BUT the genitalia, and which they will discard on command. They will not, however, tell the prospective courtier which gender they are.
How the courtier goes about utilizing the concubines, whether they look at the genitalia or not, whether they are bothered by knowing that even the concubines with female genitalia may actually be male, etc. will reflect on his status in the court. However, he is not told what actions will result in what results.
Anyone think they can do something with this?
