A take on Jekyll and Hyde

Bit of literature kick today.

So with The curious case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, while I enjoy the mainstream version of Hyde being a split personality or even being a superpowered side, I think it would be fun to get back to the original of Hyde being a form that Jekyll can take on and act with anonymity behind (literally hiding).

That’s not to say there can’t be more fantastical elements though. In fact you could kinda argue the substance was an adaptation.

Anyway:

1. Middle aged female scientist is well respected in her field but she feels like she has to walk on eggshells. Any slip up and she’ll be looked over for one of her male coworkers. She finds the formula and

A. She emerges as a younger more spry female body. While at first she acts in moderation, She soon does all the desires she buried deep down: seducing her friend’s daughter then seducing her friend. Fucking and ruining the lives of her coworkers, etc.

B. She emerges in a masculine body. While there is some dysphoria she soon uses it to take advantage the benefits. She sets about taking what she wants then slipping back into her old body when the heat gets going…but sometimes her body doesn’t quite switch back all the way.

How about Dr. Jekyll changes from a petite, shy, insecure nerd who's sexual history is disappointing at best, and is hopelessly in love with a man she feels is out of her league. As Ms. Hyde she's a six foot tall Amazonian goddess capable of wearing out the Dallas Cowboys starting defense and the cheerleaders in the same night.

But the story is mostly what about each is missing. The Doctor is missing confidence and savoir-faire and Hyde is missing the ability to love. She is just a walking sex drive with style. Each half feels incomplete and they have to work together to become one woman.
