Is there some The Nutty Professor sort of sci-fi element, so he's using some drug cocktail to achieve superhuman lovemaking ability? Is he the quiet type, but he's had a girlfriend or two and the focus on considerate mutual pleasure led him to be a more generous lover than the cocky jocks she's familiar with? Or is he genuinely a clueless nerd but just so happens to be blessed with a massive dong and unusual stamina?

A fourth possibility comes to mind: he's a gooner, and while he lives up (down) to every stereotype of that subculture, it has also granted him an unusual amount of orgasm control.
