This is my longest story yet, at 30,000 words. It is in First Time:

There is a lot in it - about the immigrant experience, about war and trauma, about music, and all sorts of little in-jokes on the way.

Very eager to get feedback. It is my favorite of my stories, but interested in others' views.

I left a comment on the story, but to summarize: well done! That was a story only you could have told. I enjoyed it very much.

From a critical standpoint, I felt that you got overly wordy in spots, but that's an occupational hazard in writing. A couple of good beta readers or editors will help with that.

As for the characters, Tony was believable, but I felt she was a little too good to be true. The kind of acceptance that she demonstrates seems unlikely for a young woman from a very conservative culture. But perhaps I am imposing my own experiences on her.
