A Song for Everything

So people for years loved to make “Ringo” jokes, as though he didn’t deserve respect as a musician - and look at at who is on stage with him? He has absolute monster musicians lining up to be in his all star band - and he is amazing on his own anyway. I am a huge fan of Mr Starkey. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Any drummer who has tried to play what he played gains a greater respect for the man’s skills as a drummer.

No, but I'm not one for remembering names unless I've listened to them a lot. It's the music I remember. I'm not sure if I remember any of his unless I looked at a song list.
Crossroads Blues - from Cream and Eric Clapton - is a cover of a Robert Johnson tune.
There is at least one Stones tune that was a cover.
And the movie Crossroads... is pretty good, and talks about Robert....

Absolutely!!! I started playing drums at 10... and it took me years to figure out... I'm a bass player, or a guitar player, or even a keyboard player.. but I suck at drums. However, my hero? Ringo Starr. The man is astoundingly good.

Hey, me too! Guitar, bass, drums. I'm in 2 rock bands currently, guitar in one and bass in the other. And I play percussion in a community orchestra - wood block, clave, etc. I used to play drum kit in rock bands but I stopped when I realized I sucked.
