A simple request of thread starters

2 cents only...

I read this BB regularly and find Abrosious' posts among the most consistently witty. "What's your favorite movie?"-type threads have their place, but who's to say they have more legitimacy than others simply because the authors start threads less frequently? This is logic?

Here are my personal beefs that I would like to see addressed:

1) spelling errors
2) grammar errors
3) 'log rolling' (complimenting another author's story in
the hope of gaining a compliment for your own)

Bait and switch, however...that's just wrong!

Maybe you forgot that this board is viewed also by foreigners who english is not their first language, like me, and that we don't sit with a grammar book and a dictionay. Last time I checked, there is no rules when you register stating you have to be an english major!!

Well, I'm sick of it too. Silly threads are one thing, but purposely suckering people in to a silly, time wasting thread is fucking enraging! I don't have that much time, and I deeply resent being tricked into wasting what little I have to spend here.

Being forcibly cut off from the Lit site has given me a new perspective on things. Yeah, I couldn't wait to get back, but I also realized that life goes on without Lit. And I don't need this place that badly to continue to put up with this shit for much longer. I've said it before. This place is not that much fun any more.

There are a few people here that I interact with, and a few more that I haven't gotten around to speaking to, but on the whole, I just don't care as much as I used to.

There. That's my rant for the week. Enjoy, and Have A Nice Day!

There are a number of names which, when they appear as the creator of the thread, dismiss most possibilities of it being a serious thread.
If you have been 'baited and switched' you will know after the first posting so it should not take much time for you to move on to another thread.
Page 2 exists. If there is, a thread that is worthwhile on page 2 why not post to it and bring it to the top of page 1?

Anyway, I'll now post a serious thread and watch it sink to the bottom.
