113 Miles today and a ton of fun.
In other words the wife and I took the bike out and headed North to check out a Museum.
Parts of the ride were a pain in the ass, (dealing with traffic in a couple of towns,) and one part was more than a bit scary. (We got cut off by a cop yapping on his cell phone.) One the other hand though one part of the ride was absolute heaven.
20+ miles of double barrel road with no traffic and a wind out of the north. (We were heading south.) The speed limit was 55 MPH and the air temp was right at 75°. I had the bike wound out to 60 MPH in fifth gear and my feet on the highway pegs. The road stretched in front of us while the ocean glittered an azure to our left. To the right was seemingly miles of trackless scrub lands. Beneath us the bike purred and sounded almost happy as we ate up the miles.
I need to find more rides like this.
