A serious question...

I was just curious...has anyone ever met anyone from this board? I see a lot of threads posted but I get the feeling that nobody ever meets. "If only you lived closer...", "Too bad you are so far away...", "I'm just outside of your age limit...", etc.

Then there are those that engage in poetic fencing with each other (nothing wrong with that). And some post threads that say what they want but nobody answers at all (I understand that some PM's might be flying behind the scenes).

I've met more people while swimming laps and then my face is buried in the water and I'm wearing goggles. Hmmm...maybe there is something to that!?!

I've Actually had the great pleasure of meeting a couple of them in person myself...in fact, the first time it was with two of them at the same time! Very nice people, and in fact I meet up with one or the other every once in a while for lunch or to do some computer work for 'em...drool over 'em...*L*...ya know, just social stuff. They're really great people!

I think if you get someone comfortable with you, meeting isn't out of the realm of possibility by any stretch; heck, people are hookin' up all the time in the midst of LIT, socially or otherwise.

I've met a wonderful young woman this spring, and it seems to be blossoming into a wonderful relationship! I don't want to jinx it, but I am definitely looking forward to this summer!

I found that having the ad here helped, but it was posting on the other threads in the playground that really got the two of us together... go have fun, and who knows, you might get lucky! I honestly feel that the odds of finding someone you are compatible with are better here than on any of the big dating services! But, that's just my opinion and we know how much those are worth!

Never met anyone from here.. but there are definately a couple I'd love to. And not from a solely sexual viewpoint either.

However I have met people from online in general. One of them, actually, now posts here (I dragged him over to the dark side). Anytime I've met someone from online it's been a very nice experience. Of course, I usually wait until I know them fairly well before I even toss out the idea of a meeting.

Actually, I am from the New England area. I have meet many truly great friends here at Lit in person. I though cook outs throught the warmer weather and have meet some great people for both friendship and more.

This Memorial Day weekend I am holding another cook out and they are loads of fun! Good food, good friends = good times. My cook outs are very popular. Actually several people have show interest in cummimng....

Seriously, some times you have to take the initiative. There are a lot of great people here at Lit. Never be afraid to say hello... You may be pleasantly surpised by their response...

I think the chance of meeting somebody through this site is about slim and none, and slim just packed his bags to get the hell out of town. I've chatted with some nice and interesting people from here, but everybody cool seems to be a minimum of 6 hours away. You know, it's like I'll write "how about we meet in the middle, like in Cleveland or something?"and they'll write back, " Sounds good, but I don't drive." I feel like writing back, "you're an adult who doesn't drive? How do you get food and other necessities?" I've gotten the"I don't drive" line here like 4 times (really). Who the hell doesn't drive in this country anyway? It's fun here, but if you're looking to hook up, stick to a bar. But I still try here from time to time, just because I seek like minded people and am always disappointed in the bar hookups who can't keep up.

I think that this is probably very true. Probably a couple of people are hooking up...the others talk a good game and that is about it. Now I understand about being selective and all...but if you really want to meet...you'll find a way.

Jesus guys this is the warm weather. People here at Lit are getting together all over the place! Not sure were your from but I can't believe that there is NOT Lit members in your area.

Suggestion find a thread that is in your area and join the people. As always respect the other people on the thread and they will respect you. Hopping on the thread and being crude or rude will get you totally ignored. If there isn't a thread started in your area then pick an intelligent subject and start one. The 'Wanna fuck' threads fall off the boards quickly!

None of the gals I know from here are looking for one night stands. If thats your intentions they have escorts sites and you'll be more sucessful there. It's pretty much a sure thing with a escort service! I know that you realize that friendship first is most important if the relationship is going to go any where. The love making is far more satisfy with someone that respects and truly cares about you.

If you're simply looking to hop from bed to bed and a new lady every night I don't think it's going to happen here. The women of Lit ARE extremely beautiful, sensual, passionate, and exciting. But they ARE also extremely intelligent and can pick off a player at 500 yards...............

I agree with the earlier posts, discretion always plays a large part.

Add to that, as also posted, players, and there are many of them, tend to reduce their own chances of meeting someone, as, in reality, many want a meaningful relationship, be it as chat buddies, pen-pals, or in real life.

A friend is someone we can talk to at anytime, not one that we go to just to relive sexual tension.

As for the driving issue, well, I can say I retired from law enforcement, and the number of people that are past the age of consent, that don't have a licence will suprise you.

By the way, why are you upset that they can't drive? Aren't you willing to invest the time to drive to meet them if you truely find them interesting? I know that I would, and in some cases, have.

Buffman, I live in BFE, Ohio and even we have city buses and two cab companies. Some of us are recovering from bad divorces and are busted beyond the state of "poor". So don't think that people are playing you off when they say that they don't drive or don't have a car. Lots of people have very legitimate reasons for both.

Now as to the original question, I have several people that I have met here, I liked em all and most of us stay in touch. I don't throw cookouts, but I do have an open door policy most of the time, so I meet as many of them as I can. Not just for sexual purposes here either.

Meeting Lit People

Although I have never met any of my contacts on Lit, out of 21 people in my e-mail address book, 9 are people who I've kept a running friendship with after meeting them on-line.
So even tho you may never actually meet you can still make some very nice friends and at least wish you could meet.
I hope to add more to my address book from here.
