When you come on the Board, do you only look at the threads on page one? Do you even look at page two or beyond, or do you consider that if the thread has passed from the first page it's worn out and sinking into oblivion?

Have you ever tried to read all the threads posted in one day? I tried that once and found that often the postings willl go on for five, six, seven or more pages at times. Do you feel that you might have missed something interesting by not looking into them all, or do you consider that a waste of time?

I try and look at all the threads - at least the titles - back to the last time I was on the board. i.e. - check out if there are any new threads, check out if there are any new posts on threads that I have interest in.

I check back as many pages as that takes. If I haven't been around for a few days it can be quite time consuming.

I'm curious to see how other people respond to this thread. I get the feeling that there are quite a few people who never check beyond the first page - which is a shame, since wonderful, interesting threads can quickly get buried.

I simply don't have that much time online anymore. Consequently, I've gotten very picky about what I read. Every time I log on, I scan the threads that have new posts, and decide what looks good. Then I save them to disk, log off, and read away. Doesn't take me that long anymore, as there isn't that much that interests me anymore. And yes, I feel like I'm missing a whole lot of stuff.

I generally read through allt he titles of the threads that have new posts since i was last here, the board has a great feature for that.

My first glance is for threads that were started by me and have recieved a flame, uh, i mean response.

My second glance is for threads that I have posted to to see If I was given a second thought.

My third glance is for a thread title that might interest me.

Then I use the search feature and see if my name comes up in anyones threads.

I set my limit at 10 pages...if it's past that, I'll never see it.

I've often found that there are some pretty interesting threads a little further back; a lot of the more popular ones dominate page 1.

I have to admit that things have changed about the way I read the board, compared to back when I started here about 1½ year ago.

Back then most people here were like close friends, since we weren't that many people, I tried to keep track of what happened here.

But since then, the crowd have gotten quite a lot bigger, and I don't try to keep that much track of all anymore.

But I still do look at all the threads that have new messages, and which subject catches my interest every time I log on here.

As an adendum{SP} to that once a page hits a 100 posts i highly doubt I ever visit it again.

If I have only a little bit of time, like now, I'll look at current things on page one. But usually, I will start back on page 2 or 3 at the point of the last post I read and get caught up from there. I read threads during breakfast, and then again at night before bed.

I don't read every thread, and I never read some threads started by people who I know irritate me.

Unless I'm gone for more than two or three days, I usually check back to where ever I left off.

Sometimes, if things on page 1 are really slow or inane, I'll go back a few pages to find something of interest.

Being kinda new I actually like going all the way through. Gives me a feel for some of the long-time board users. Also its ALL new to me even the ones from the very beginning.

I usually can tell by the Original Post/question if it is something I will respond to.

Alright, luv2tvl69, I watched it slip off page one and was curious if anybody would bother with it anymore. I wondered how far and how fast it would disappear. But you've renewed my faith that at least some look beyond the first page.:D

I was going to wait till tomorrow when this thread of yours had slipped so far off the charts that neither NASA nor the NOAA could find it with all their sophisticated radar.

Then I was going to breathe new life into it and show you that some people take the time to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Like several of the others, I go back to the last post I read and start from there.

If it's one of yours, I embark on a search and destroy mission! :p

Usually I start with the current days posts, into a few pages (about pg 5 or so) and then I go all the way to the end and work back.

I really like posting. As you can see I write ALOT--too long, sorry all

Arent you glad its only typing and not talking...LOL

Considering the number of women on this Board, yes, I am glad!! :p

I wouldn't touch your balls with a TEN FOOT pole!

And God knows what lurks in those deep pockets of yours. :p

I try to check out all the pages, unless there's serveral hundred responses, and then I just skimj trhough and see if there is anything interesting to comment on. Depends on how interesting the first page is I guess.

Oops! What I meant to say was that I wouldn't touch your TEN FOOT POLE! ;)

(That ought to stroke his ego)
(I learned how to 'finesse' by playing pool. And pocket pool too)

Considering what you posted in the "rack 'em" thread, I'm sure glad to hear that!

I very seldom get off page 1. On rare occasions I will go back to find a specific thread.

Awww, lookie, I found this thread. :) Page 1 tends to be for playing, for a good read, and a gossip catch-up, page 2 and 3 are where it's at. :D

Todd, look I know this isn't the place but it drives me crazy that you take the time to copy and paste most of the articles on the net, yet you can't bother to spellcheck, and instead use this (sp?) thing.
