A Question

I was just wondering how long it takes for a story to get posted? I can't remember how long the wait is...... LOL I haven't written in a while so can anyone help me? I want to say a week. My new poem went in within a day or so. But I know stories take longer.

The few things I've posted have been up usually within a few days or so. In any case, the wait is always looooong when you're waiting for those comments to start rolling in.

I have to say I have never waited more then a couple of days but I think it depends on submissions and how busy they are. Believe it or not I have heard a rumor they have a real life. I know its tough waiting to find out if you're friend or if someone really loves you. It is for everyone

A Long Wait

Hi,

My last story took nine days to post (previously I only had to wait about 3-4 days). Nine days of "pending"...egad! Someone suggested on another thread that maybe the remodeling of the site is slowing the story posts.

My latest one took 11 days to be approved, but usually it is 4-5 days.

I submitted my most recent story on the morning of the 1st, and it just got approved today (the 9th). The beginning of the month is probably an especially busy time, because the monthly contest begins again.

My story was sent back for....SPELLING!!!! LOL So, I turned it back in on saturday. I could see 2 people looked at it. But it's still pending as of today. Hmmmm, the 14th of every month is the cut off time isn't it. For the money prizes? It's the 10th today. I wouldn't stand a chance at any prizes if it gets posted now. Plus you have to have like at least 50 votes right? Hmmmmm, LOL who am I kidding.....I NEVER WIN THAT STUFF!!!! Hell, I should just be happy someone posts my crap. LOL Who needs money and acknowledgement anyway. WAIT!!! I DO!!!!! GIMMIE,GIMMIE,GIMMIE!!!

Pheww!! I'm glad you asked that question, Demon.
I was starting to wonder myself. My stories have been going in like after 4 days. This last one is still pending going on 8 days. It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one waiting awhile. No telling how many those guys read though. And to whoever had one come back for spelling, my Guilty Pleasure story came back for the same reason! That's what I get for writing it IN the submission box. Bad Orchid! Now we use nice cut and paste and the pretty spell checker.

AND I'll vote for ya Demon. Maybe we can get you to 50 one good time.

Thanks Cherry. I'll need all the help I can get!!! It's still not done pending as of today. You watch on the 13th....It will get posted. That would so be my luck. Plus this may well be my last story in Lit. My girlfriend who types my stories and edits them told me just resently that she doesn't like me writting these stories about "OTHER GIRLS!" Even though I make my characters up. But as much as I love writting I can't point to a story of mine thats ever won anything in here and say "see that I'm good at this." I don't want her mad at me or to make her feel bad. She said she wants me to keep writting but she said it in a way....ahhh you know how you girls get when you want something your way! LOL
