a question about play piercing

i have seen pictures, and once even saw a whole video, of women having ..skewers, for lack of a better word, put through their breasts. i dont mean thru just a bit of skin, i mean through the center of the breast. this cant be healthy, right? i mean i know there are varying degrees of "damage" in lots of forms of bdsm play-some temporary, some permanent. and i love the idea of play piercing, as in thru my nipples or labia ect. but this skewer thing..it seems kind of scary, and i cant see how it wouldnt seriously damage the tissues in there, as its going right thru. one picture i saw, a woman had three in each breast-right through the middle of her breast, at different angles. i have to admit part of me is turned on by it and ive thought about trying it-having it done to me rather-but no way am i going to seriously risk my health. so assuming that the metal used is sterile and antibacterial wash is applied to the skin-is this safe? a skewer right thru the breast? wouldnt it damage milk ducts, veins, ect?

id really like some answers on this if anyone has them-ive tried to find info about this particular form of play piercing and cant find much at all.

I know what you are talking about, but as to the specific facts on health risks I am unsure. Anelize may be of help here as she is in the medical field, has some play piercing experience, and has to my knowledge I think done quite a bit of research on it. I must admit, like you, while one part of me says no-way, there is a part to which it appeals and prevents me from ruling it out entirely as something I would like to try. I have also seen women who have had their breasts nailed to boards etc., which has a similar effect on me. LOL, Master has been looking at some particularly nasty comics along these lines of late and has discovered an erotic, sadistic appeal in them himself, so who knows.

I've seen the same pics, and personally, I wouldn't do anything of that sort. I've seen skewers done as a surface piercing, just under the skin, and if they were autoclaved, and sterile, while it's not something that I'm personally into, I can see it being safe, with a proper betadine prep (that means letting the betadine dry on the skin, by the way, folks). However, if you are poking skewers through your breasts, you are running the risk of hitting (a) an artery (very bad juju) (b) a vein (c) milk ducts (d) nerves .

All, in all, not a very good idea. There is a lot of info out there on surface play piercing (check out the BDSM Library entry on this topic, you'll find links there).

Just remember to betadine prep the area, and use sterile single use needles. Seems like a "duh" sort of thing to say, but you'd be surprised. And dispose of your needles in an approved disposal container....you can buy one at your local drugstore for a couple of bucks.

Alot of local BDSM organizations offer demos and classes on play piercing. That's a great way to learn how to do this safely, btw.

If you really want to play with skewers, putting them through the cheeks is an option. Fakir Musafar demo-ed this one in my town, it was hard for me to eroticize but very impressive.

the idea of putting them thru my cheeks doesnt turn me on at all tho...it was the idea of that much pain applied to my breasts. i love breast torture, its a surefire way to drop me into subspace..but Anelize, the things you mentioned are exactly the things i was worried about-there are arteries, nerves, veins, milk ducts..it just seems super risky. so i guess that particular fantasy will have to stay a fantasy only.

imagining how much pain a piercing like that would cause seriously turns me on tho
