A question about Goattees

Hi Everyone,
I have this question that has been bugging me for a while and I need some resolution. What is it about goattees? Is there some sort of underlying message being given out by guys or is it my imagination? (And no, I am not attracted to guys with goattees) I've noticed the presence of goattees on the faces of a lot of guys who are either bi or I have suspected of being bi. Someone also told me that goattees are called "Jailhouse Pussy" in prison which is why you don't want to have one unless you are advertising. Not that everyone who has a goattee is bi/gay, but I am now wondering......Please help!!! Thank you for your input!

I have a gotee and I'm strait.

perhaps being in the UK is different.

they are becomming more fashonable tho

Well it's obviously a matter of personal taste.
Clean-shaven & smooth, or Bearded & hairy.

I'm clean-shaven but I love goatees on other men. My bf has one. I wouldn't let him shave it off. Besides, he's more of a hairy bear type anyway, and it suits him perfect. I have always been (physically) attracted to bearded and hairy guys. Fetish, fantasy & reality all rolled into one.

Well, as far as the prison thing is concerned they're having sex there anyway, with or without the goatees. And if that's the case, then you forgot to mention Tattoos.

There are many ways to express masculinity, just like femininity. Goattees are just one way.

A kiss is NOT a kiss without a goatee! :D

I don't have one. I'm bi..then again, do transvestites count?

Saw your pic thread....WOW!!!!!! I think I want to move to Tx now LOL

The goatee trend came through Washington a couple of years ago. The Pride festival looked like a goatee festival. My husband, however, grew a goatee and still no one took him for bi.

I like the goatee better than a full beard because it leaves the cheeks smooth, so he's both bristly and soft.

Maybe it's just because goatees are cool?...
I wanted to have a goatte since i was 14..

I guess theres some truth to that, from personal experience, when I got together with my gf, she always bitches if I haven't shaved in a couple of days through laziness let alone deliberately growing the thing. So maybe its the straight guys who get nagged to shave so there smooth to kiss.

Correlation, not causation...

I have a goat and I think it's a good look for me. It's definitely fashionable for most men, like sideburns in the 70's. I'm straight and many of my straight friends also have goats. I'm guessing a goatee and the gay man who sports it is a correlation and nothing more...

Of course, now when I look at my goat in the mirror I'll be thinking about the jailhouse pussy reference... LOL

I don't think it's related. I've never even heard of this theory before, and I know a lot of straight guys with goatees. Honestly, anyone can be gay, bi, or straight. I've seen married men who act "gay" (by that I mean effeminate) and as we all know, it's sometimes surprising who's gay.

I guess the point of that tangent was that I wouldn't put much stock in appearances.

i once had a van dyke but i got rid of it.

i was attracting too many women.

I hadn't heard the theory either.

Anyway on the one hand, marriage is no guarantee of someone's sexuality, but on the other hand, many effeminate men aren't gay and many gay men aren't effeminate.

I'd like to dry a bisexual encounter. Should I grow my goattee back?

If it is a sign, I'd like to know!!

Holy Shit

Someone better tell almost every guy that I work with that they may be bi. While I suspect a few of them may be, and possibly even hope a couple of them are, I doubt that many people could be bi, based on a goatee.

Goatees

Hello All, I have noticed in several photo's of closet crossdressers, they have goatees. Which I found to be very strange. It would seem it would be very difficult to look like a woman while sporting a beard. However there has been a theory offered, that secret crossdressers pursue very macho careers, act very macho and dress macho in public. Could this explain some goatees on bi males? I have always wondered about goatees on closet crossdressers. Anyone care to comment?

I would like to mirror what you said. I used to work with someone at work with a goattee and he tried to pass himself as some sort of tough guy. Always talking about how his best friend went to prison for shooting his father (WTF?), how manly he is doing construction work on his free time, how much beer he drank, always trying to put on airs that he is a "tough guy." Well, during the course of conversation he let out: 1) When he was younger he engaged in some naked outdoor playing with his guy friends and 2) He currently goes to the coast with a guy friend, they rent out a hotel room together, get drunk, and wrestle around on the bed and then collapse "all exhausted". (all this info was without my asking, he just blurted this stuff out) and when he would tell me these things, he would look me in the eyes with some sort of "expectant" look like he was expecting me to open up about "something." Weird I know, maybe I am reading into this, but it's what got me thinking about posting my original question (and also, my intuition was telling me something was up)
