you need to post 100 posts. if you're in a hurry, the general board (GB for short) is probably a good way to get there fast.

You can always rack up a bunch quickly with the games in the Playground or minimalist responses in AmPics. I suppose it's a matter of valuing quantity or quality more; personally, I prefer quality for myself, and tend to give those who have a history of thoughtful posts more weight than members who just have a high post count. I also felt like the title and avatar milestones were more meaningful because I put time into getting them, but again, that's just my experience and opinion.Lessons-n-Lust said:

i had this question too. i've never seen that before! needing 100 posts before getting an avatar? well, i beat that system.... the avatar i have chosen shows an interesting use of "white space"

I may be wrong about this (someone please set me straight if I am), but I think one of the reasons why members have to get 100 posts before they can have an av is because there are over 600,000 members and a lot of them lurk (like in AmPics, for example) and make very few, if any, posts. If all of those people were allowed to have av's when they signed up, it would be a huge waste of bandwidth.

Now if you'd registered around Valentine's Day last year when the site went through bunch of upgrades, there was a brief period of time in which newbies were able to sneak in and put up an av before they hit 100 posts.BlackWolf65 said:
