Nope, never did, BUT...

About 5 years ago, i had my first - and last - migraine. It was after a Smashing Pumpkins concert; I'd started my period that day, when we went in to the concert it was 73 degrees and after it was over we went outside to find the temp had dropped to 45 degrees. My doctor said when i saw him next that it would have been stranger still if i HADN'T gotten a migraine, that i had experienced the 4 classic triggers for a woman to develop a migraine in a very short period of time: Loud noise, flashing lights, drastic change in temperature, and onset of menstruation.

WTF does this have to do with the poll, you ask? Well, for the next 3 weeks after the migraine, every time my husband and i had sex, i had THE most excruciating pain at the moment of orgasm, and the pain would last for about 2-3 hours, gradually easing off over that time (I even tried masturbating, still got the horrific pain at the point of climax). Back to my doctor, he did an MRI just to be sure it was nothing serious, but said that i had what is known as "sex migraines", and that they're not uncommon. Well, I'd never heard of such a thing, and for awhile i was afraid i'd never be able to have sex again! He prescribed Imitrex, which was 10 fucking dollars a pill... sex was beginning to get very expensive! When the prescription ran out, i thought i'd try sex without it, just to see if it was gone... sure enough, no more headaches - better still, it hasn't happened since (Thank God!!!)

Has anyone ever heard of this? More to the point, has anyone else ever experienced it?

EVE~~
Yep, I've heard of them.
I haven't had a headache from sex but I've had migraines and they are total killers. I have found that if I catch them early enough I can down a MT dew (or other high caffeine source) and a tylenol and an asprin (same ingredients as Excedrin Migraine) --just in case it ever happens again.
My last BF got headaches occassionally after sex but I don't think they were all that bad and usually didn't last too long.

I hope that you never have to go through that kind of horrible pain again :)
