A pretty funny feeling

When you're just fucking off, procrastinating, twiddling, fondling, reflecting, musing, when all of a sudden you stumble onto another site where a couple of your Lit stories are posted.

I know it's been discussed here but it's one of those 'I never thought it would happen to me' moments. Sort of a good news/bad news scene when it really happens.

Pretty weird sensation.

Who can these days?

In these days of Instant Everything? They are few.

An email might've been nice. It's wouldn't take long either. "Hi saw one of your pieces on Lit. May we include it on our list of stories? We can't pay you but we'll give credit and a word of thanks..."

The other funny thing is that 'they' chose one of the stories that appeared to be practically unnoticed (even more so than ordinary), at least going by the votes/score (few and low) and comments (zero). So there goes another gauge. You don't know. You just can't know really, any of the whos or hows or whats of effect or response or anything.

I suppose the only thing to do is hope that someone somewhere out there might be slightly improved.

The weirdness remains.
