a potentially stupid question for a story.

okay, i realize this is mildly silly question, but i just wanted to know if there were any symbols that lesbians might wear to indentify themselves as lesbians beyond the usual rainbows, the ax (which i can't remember how to spell so i refuse to attempt it) and black/pink triangles and such that might not be well known to the general public or might even be missed by people of different age groups and are based on fairly common things. why? i'm writing a story and i wanted to include clues to one characters sexual identity that another character might feel embarrassed to have missed because just because damnit.

if you guys can't give me any answers i'm going with the rainbows because they're fairly common and they really do have multiple meanings(some people just like rainbows and might wear them for that reason alone so they could easily be dismissed.) and the ax which i will teach myself to spell before i add it to the story.
