A positive about Trump: he permanently damaged hypocritical American evangelicals.

The more moderate church goers are having discussions, arguments, friendships lost, etc. Their minds and compassion are working. The "racism part" is where most of them say Trumpy-poo is losing them, and I obviously have respect for that.

However, the dumbest - and thus most destructive - of the evangelicals are losing their shit re: their hypocrisy getting the marquee, and their public image going in the toilet. Mr. and Ms. Morality In Your Face 24/7 are getting laughed at if they even whisper Trump's name. They're, of course, doubling down (what do you expect - denying truth is in their DNA), but this particular group of shitheads will never be the same. The renard_ruse's are spending every waking minute on damage control, and failing. The home of television evangelism, the campus of Trinity Broadcasting, is empty and rotting away. These folks REALLY want their guns now, because they're scared.

It feels somewhat like the Catholic church abuse scandal in terms of current reaction, and I suspect that, like that scandal, it'll come up in almost every conversation about ultra-devout Christianity 10 years from now, and beyond: but did you support him?

This day of reckoning has been a long time coming...

I doubt it was have that much of an effect. At some point within the next 7 years Trump will go away and who backed him will be largely forgotten about. Nobody remembers or even cares about that in the long term.
And I don't think Trinity owns that place anymore, that's why it's empty.

A positive about Obama: He permanently made the world a better place for black people.

A positive about Clinton: He permanently redefined what the word "is" means.

A positive about Lincoln: He permanently paved the way for truly homely men to become president.

Dear Xian:
If you support a shithead, you ARE a shithead.
You're welcome.

Speaking of which, ain't seent this motherfucker for a while.

Used to be every week that the blacks, the "femanists" and the gays would set him off like a stick of dynamite underneath Daffy Duck ass on a woe-is-the-white-man's-world polemic.

You'd think that the Cheetolini Age of A'murica would mean that he's thriving instead of striving. Hope the lil' neurotic feller's okay. :(

A positive about Nixon: He permanently damaged the reputations of well meaning American crooks.

A positive about Bush II: He permanently made it statistically impossible for there to be another president named Bush.

A positive about T. Roosevelt: He permanently paved the way for condoms that were to be named Rough Riders.

The hypocrisy of evangelicals is staggering.

Thou shalt not commit adultery? He's done it with each of his three wives.
Thou shalt not bear false witness? He's lied more than any other president
Thou shalt not covet? is entire life is based on coveting and greed.

But hey, as long as he keeps those brown people out he's aces with the evangelicals.

The one thing I truly admire about liberals is their total lack of hypocrisy. :)

Poor Ann, you're trolling hard today and not getting any action.

Evangelicals are supposed to be bound to the word of God. But hey, he's going to keep the brown people out and build a useless wall that Mexico won't pay for.

Go worship Trump as your messiah or your dictator, it doesn't matter to me.

Apparently it does matter to you. Maybe a few more superlatives will make your point more relevant. :)

Here is what former RNC chairman Michael Steele had to say about the hypocritical Evangelicals:

"Just shut the hell up and don't ever preach to me about anything ever again," Steele said during an MSNBC appearance on Tuesday.

"I don't want to hear it, because after telling me how to live my life, who to love, what to believe, what not to believe, what to do and what not to do, and now you sit back. And if the prostitutes don't matter, if the grabbing the you-know-what doesn't matter, the outright behavior and lies do not matter, just shut up," he said.

It should be noted that Steels is a minister as well.

However, this is the excuse Evangelicals are giving for the con artist's repeated actions:

Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, also came to the president's defense on Tuesday, saying Trump deserves a second chance.

"Evangelicals understand what a second chance means and that's what that comment was made in the context of," Perkins said on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront."

Whereas, this is how Evangelical "leaders" responded to Clinton's affair:

“The seamy facts under public discussion are shameful enough,” Gary Bauer, former leader of the Family Research Council, said in 1998 after Clinton’s affair broke. “But fascination with this story should not be allowed to obscure the deeper lesson these incidents impart. That lesson is this: Character counts — in a people, in the institutions of our society, and in our national leadership.

Further still:

Pat Robertson, who lobbied for Clinton’s impeachment, hasn’t condemned Trump, and James Dobson, who told the public that Clinton’s affair was a “profound moral crisis,” just told his followers to support the president through praying and fasting.

But here is the ultimate wtf comment I've found so far:

“Nobody on the panel seemed aware of, much less cared for, the Christian concepts of grace and the hierarchy moral imperatives,” Mr. Bois wrote Wednesday. “As Jimmy Carter and Obama showed, living an alleged morally principled life privately does not absolve someone of the sins they commit publicly. A man may be a good husband and good father, but if he treats his subordinates at work like trash [con artist since obviously Obama nor Carter ever did this], promotes objectively evil policies like abortion [subjective, not objective], assaults religious institutions with the secular arm of the government [that's why there's separation of Church and State in the Constitution], then his being a good father and husband (if that is indeed true) is rendered void by the magnitude of their public life.”

In other words, Evangelicals not only admit they're giving the lying sack of shit a mulligan, they're also admitting his character doesn't matter, nor his lack of leadership. Once they got their pieces of silver, all is well.

No hypocrisy whatsoever.

Is it hypocritical to use your hatred for religious people to condemn someone elses hatred for Mexicans?

These extremists can no longer argue that they have the upper hand on morality. They have been exposed.

And then you have geriatric posters on here like that Bob the Baboon creep, screaming about socialism, but no, don't take away their Medicare and pension. Stupid old fucks. It's all about them, make no mistake on that!

The issue is he will get them all back because his crusade this year is to make abortion illegal and most likely try and make Birth control almost impossible to get. Church goers have the same goal with women as conservatives do, keep them barefoot and pregnant.

And they will deal with his racism and other issues if they can get that from him.

I'll state what I do whenever I discuss church/Gov. The president who makes it so churches pay taxes, especially the catholic church will be the greatest president in history.
