A perpetual night
Okay, this is going to be in the future. Magic. Mages rule the known world. Technology exists, but is no match for the magic. The mages are ruled by the Enclave, an elite group of archmages. Any child known or thought to have magical ability is taken away at an early age. If the child does have magical ability, it is trained as a mage. If not, it becomes a slave. The populace is becoming extremely unhappy with the mage rule. Not that it does them any good. One rebellion happened. The mages left everyone alive... si they could be tortured for years. After each one died, his mutilated corpse would be hung up for view. Even the once bloodthirsty crowds were disgusted. Everyone has been cowed into submission. They are led by one mage. He claims to be a god on earth. And he certainly appears it. He has been stapped clean through his heart. He has been decapitated. Yet, he lives on and rules. His eyes glow of a red light and he speaks with a non-human voice. But in a world of only humans, this is strange. He has artifacts in his posession so powerful they can destory entire cities with one surge of power. Yet there are freedom fighters. Feel free to join. I shall be the 'God' and the leader of the freedom fighters. Any kind of character, just remember that everything is human and mages tend to look down on commoners. Commoners also heartily curse the mages, but not in their faces. Lastly, even the slightest misdemeanor is punishable by death.

Alright this was a tread that was great! I have no idea why it died... but I've decided to bring it back if thats alright with the original creater Morgoth. Now this si same time it's not a continuing thread it's a clone now the plot can go in a differ direction or what ever I just want to start it up again. I'd love it a lot of the old players in it would join they could have there old character or a new one I don't care Now I'd liek to see new people too of course now I'm not ganna post my character unless I see some interest in it and I hope I do.

P.S. Morgoth of course has first grabs on playing the god and that go's with every bodies old characters.

Name: Slance Rivvet
Class: gunner/mage
Age: 18
Hair: Falls about in black strands and bangs.
Weapons: slight magic and two .45 pistols.
Eyes: Green
looks: Slender but not thin almost always wares a billowing trench coat. His darting fiery green eyes are just above the brim of the trench coat.
History: At the age of 12 he was in a school and working hard at a small relation ship that he had with a girl.

At ther home they were studing for a science test when for the first time she leaned over and kissed him and he was taken by surprise that a red glow started to come from him the girl wouldn't tell but her mother walked in at that moment not wanting her famaly to get heart from the mages she told them.

The girl warned Slance that she had heard her mother telling the mage and so Slance packed his things in a herry and ran. He now is still on the run because the mages have marked his looks he now suports two .45s that he has had to us and his slight developing magic.

Hair:Blueish silver, kinda anime style hair
Weapons: Medium magic, but it asorbs his energy so he doesn't use it much. has an sheild shaped like an ninja star that can be used as an weapon.
Looks: some what slender looking with muscle in certain places. always were an ribbon with an yin/yang pendent in te middle of it


Bio:Remy had it all. He was rich, had an girlfriend, and was an top student at the age 12. But he hated it His family supported the mages hence the wealth. But Remy rather be fighting the mages than helping them.

When he turned 13, Remy decided to follow his brothers foot steps and revolt against the archmages. Sadly they lostand he was stuck along with the others

but to Remy's luck he knew an maid who was the daughter of one of the mages. His Idea. To kidnap her

Class: Mage illusioner

Age: 26

Looks: Very beautiful, tall, black eyes, indigo hair, wears black robes or simple summer dresses and heels of varying styles and colors.

Magic: Very poweful shade/water magess with many spells and simple illusions. Can also morph.

Person: Cool and aloof.

Bio:

She was brought up under her uncle's firm hand. They were mages but this was unknown to the others of the same class who believed that they were humans and therefore filth. This however did not stop them from being wealthy (espcially because they were the decendants of a great clan) and Ariel was trained by her uncle rigorously for years, from the time she could speak two words he had begun to train her, honing her natural skills.

Ariel herself is a puzzle. Although very powerful she hardly uses it except when she is practicing or under the instruction of her uncle to help him carry out a certain task.

Her parents were killed as were all the rest of her family and all though she had witnessed this through her uncles' mirror it had seemed not to affect her at all. It all came down to the fact that she seemed untouchable. No one could reach her inside they had to settle for the cool glassy exterior.

Not many people like this especially the males but she doesn't care much.

She hates the ruling government and has secretly made an inner vow to help with any movement that decides to get rid of them.

Ariel is complex, lovely and powerful. Perhaps if someone could touch her soul and bring her long dead heart of ice to life once again.

Her mental state on the inside is unknown. She could well be a loose cannon looking for a target.

OOC: That was great! ok we're ganna start posting but it's never to late to join!

The Mages. The damnded mages! This was the thought running through Slances head as he ran through the forest tree's getting blown to bit behind him.

He spun around cocking both guns and firing blasting tree's to peices but doing only a small bit to help his situation. He span back around his trench cloak wipping about him as he continued to run jumping over logs and such.

He heard the whiney of the horses behind him. Theres a loud expoding sound and a flashing light behind him as he's launched head first over a large log. He wipped out his .45's and started fring at will hearing the horses dropped as he ducked under the log for cover.

"Damn..." Remy said silently, "Bore, T, Kyle, Ky, Damemon, Black, Joker, Victor.... They even killed Kara! If I ever get out of here I swear!"

As usual, the usual maid came in trying to get him to eat. "Come now! You must eat!"

"Forget it! I'm going to die sooner or later! Why eat?!"

"Because my father will spare two of your men if you do!"

Remy's head shot up, "WHAT?! How come?!"

"Because, Your family supports my father and the others. They may not be able to save your life, but at least you can save your freinds."

'Father?' Remy thought, 'She may come in handy...'

"I'm not even going to ask what poisen you are giving me but fine!" Remy held his hands out waiting for the plate, when she gave it to him, he almost droped it due to its weight "Whats on this?!"

"Just something I cooked."

Remy looked up again "What?"

"I don't think its right what my father is doing, so...."

"You don't need to say anymore... Thanks..." The maid left 'She may be a real help... Maybe I can find my brother's sword so I can at least stop the Mages!'

Ariel

Ariel was walking in the woods when she heard a comotion in the distance. She closed her eyes and listened carefully and as she expected she heard gunshots.

She unholstered her own guns and began to run toward the situation, all the while wondering why in the world she was doing this.

She came up through some undergrowth and found herself behind some logs beside a lone gunman shooting at some mages. She cursed under her breath.

And in that instant decided to help him. He looked safe enough.

"Hi." she said, beginning to pump out bullets, "I-am - Ariel" With each word she fired. The an looked surprised bu probably rationalised he was in no postion to refuse help.

He glanced back looking for a place ot run and he saw a quite beautiful woman running his way. He shook his head blushing slightly not wanting her to see him looking at her. As she ran up and dropped down next him he smiled slightly as she said. "Nice name... how'bout we get out'a here and talk a little?" He ment it as a joke and added firing off anotehr round. "I don't think my former company would mind."

An sudden thud was heard in the dungen "Good... I don't ahve to kill him..."

Remy bolted up the stairs as fast as he could, when he finnaly reached the top, he found nobody was at gaurd

"It may be easyer than I thought..." All of an sudden "HUH?! You?!"

'There she is!'

"Sorry, but I need your help!" He suddenly grabed the maid "HEY! LET GO! LET GO, LET GO, LET GO!!!"

As gaurds ran up after remy he whispered something in her ear "Don't worry... I don't want to hurt you... Just get out of here. If you help, I can let you go."

Ariel had to smile at that. But considered it for a moment.

"That I can do..." Ariel pulled a grenade from in one packet and handed another to him.

"On three....one, three!" she shouted.

She pulled the pin out of hers and threw it and immeadiantly started off hoping to God that he followed behind her.

OOC: Going to bed now...continue tomorrow!

His eyes widend as he saw the grenade knowing getting some thing this advanced was very hard indeed. The grenade sunk in to his hand but he knew the mages would just sned it back with there magic.

He lashed out quickly with his powers and hurled it over jumping up swiftly running after the woman covering his ears and putting the guns away.

"HEY! If you try to catch me, I'll kill her!"

"I thought you said you wouldn't hurt me!"

"I won't! I'm calling there bluff!"

"Now! Give me my sheild!"

Instanly, Remy's sheild appeared "Good... Now let me through!"

The gaurds steped aside and Remy and the maid left with out any trouble

***(two days later)***

"Hey... Sorry I had to kiddnap you..."

"mmmm...."

"Could you at least tell me your name?"

"Kimara..."

Ariel

Ariel felt the sudden use of magic and it dawned on her that the man who was now pelting behind me was a mage as she was.


She was not however about to reveal that part of her nature unless he could sense it or I got to know him better.

She heard the explosion and smiled with satisfaction, she loved explosions.

She whipped her hair backwards and put on her pair of shades on her eyes as they ran through the undergrowth jumping over the logs and rocks.

He drew up next to her and she noticed than he was kinda cute.

She admonished herself but she still ended up smiling wickedly.

Remy's hand began to glow, then an fire shot to where the campfire was lighting it up once again

"Do what? Light up the fire? Its just a little magic."

"WHats Wrong? Don't you know how to use magic?"

Kimara shook her head "Dad never taught me... said it was no use for sombody like me..."

That made Remy think 'Why wouldn't the mage teach his own daughter? Did he think that she would reble?'
