I think we need one.

I mean really though. We know the attackesrs are likely to do it again. We know the attackers have people on our North American soil. We know that they are in comunication thier higher ups.

And we have CNN telling all our plans, our methoids we will use, our techniques that we will use, who is moving in to postion where when and how and with what force.

Do you really think that the attackers don't have CNN going 24/7 and studing the plans?

Sadam Hussien did in the gulf war and thats why we didn't get him, he knew where all the allies were postioned and wled out the back door. and he knew just where to hit the most strtegic hits with simply watching CNN.

I think a news Blackout would be a good thing, yes I know that sounds strange from me who knows the government is screwing us behind our back everychance they get, but sometimes silence is neccesary

I think you are confusing the talking head expert speculation with actual news.

I think if the attackers are watching CNN, they're hosed. How much has CNN actually gotten right so far? How many retraction have they made? Forget that lil constitutional right about freedom of speech and press...

Did it occur to you that the reason we didn't 'get' Saddam is because we didn't want him? We wanted to slap him around a bit, teach him a lesson, but I don't honestly believe that we wanted to take him out. We just wanted him to learn and remember his place in the world and let him know that it doesn't pay to get greedy.

black out

I agree with Desert Amazon and....
We need more information not less. What we need less of is "official gov't statements" (translation: lies, coverups, misinformation) and scripts read by the talking heads handed down from their corporate bosses that say only what's needed to manipulate the masses.

Saddam Hussien wasn't harmed during the Gulf War because he is a friend of father Bush's. He has a role to play and he is safe as long as he plays it. Unless its decided that sacrificing him will further the agenda of the New World Order. Then he'll go out like a light.

How long have you been sniffing glue?

I do think whoever had the idea to tell the world that the SAS was on the ground in Afganistan should be taken out and fucking shot for stupidity.

Why We Didn't Kill Sadam Hussein 101

The United States and the allied forces could have quite easily taken Hussein out in the Gulf War.

Really? Please outline how this would be done "quite easily". I can't wait to hear this.

I'm not pissy at all my dear. I Just wanted a clarification. "Quite easily" is a big fucking phrase in that sentence.

Yeah, I agree about the power void. And also, we slaughtered a hell of lot of Iraqis.

Had we stepped outside of the established goals of removing them from Kuwait to a goal of occupying the country and hunting down Sadamn, we would have pissed off virtually everyone in the world outside of England (minus P P Man).

Lavender,

I been trying to go by your request to not talk to you directly but you have me confusoled.

earlier you state

The United States and the allied forces could have quite easily taken Hussein out in the Gulf War.
emphasis mine

and then in the above post you state

I know that it would have been strategically and tactically difficult.
emphasis mine

In my uneducatedness and unintellectual nonverbosity appears to be 2 contradictory statements. can you explain it to me using smaller words remember i only have grade 12 and 3 years bible college so I don't grasp these obvoiusly higher education statements, which I know you can explain to make perfect coherent complimentary sense to one such as low estate as myself.

Thank you in advance for the perfect explaination which you will deliver to enlighten and educate me, thank you

Perhaps she is suggesting we nuked them. That would have done it quite easily.

It was doable. But at what cost to our shaky image in the middle east?

Lavender,

Is what Writerdom said what you meant? I just want to make sure that words are not placed in your mouth, and all.

Once again thank you for your patience in educating the ignorant.

Believe whatever you want -

Whatever they're telling the press is not to be believed. Unless you think the Bush people are so stupid that they're telling the media about the SAS and Delta Force so as to keep the war freaks happy, you must instead believe that these are things "revealed" by our leaders as disinformation or misinformation. I have no problem either way. These events do not exist for my entertainment.

I personally do not believe we had troops in Afghanistan yet. It is clearly false that Taliban captured some of them, or we'd see them on TV from Kabul.

I think Blair's comments yesterday are aimed at simmering the Taliban's thoughts. I am certain that at least some mullahs and officers must be wishing they could sell bin Laden - and al Qaeda - to the West in exchange for keeping their pathetic power over the poor Afghanis. If you were a Taliban leader of any intelligence and knowledge, you would know that your power is soon to be lost, forever. It's a bit like the Stalin-Trotsky fight over whether the young USSR should be used as a base for exporting revolution; Stalin took the line that the USSR's survival demanded realistic accomodations with the outside world, while Trotsky wanted to export revolution, and was exiled and murdered for it.

I don't doubt that a lot of Aghanis would love to see bin Laden vanish, for real, as he plainly doesn't give a damn for their well-being or survival. They would hope that Bush would leave them in power for realpolitikal reasons, as Bush I left SH in power.

I'm further impressed that Bush has suddenly discovered that he was in favor of a Palestinian State - the first Republican Administration to say so. If he demands that Israel withdraw from all settlements, I think we might see a genuine peace in the Middle East, which would be awesome, though it would still take a long time for the dust to clear. A lot of doomsday pressure would diminish throughout the region.

Bush, under global pressure, has begun to please me immensely. I assume that means that a lot of those who voted for him are freaking out. Cheers....

see I knew it was something simple my uneducated self should of seen, but due to my lack of intelligence in general totally flew over my head and missed the boat everyone else was on.

I had suspected there was something awry with you, Shadowsource.

But actually being Todd?

wow.
