I think someone in their RL has discovered who they are here, and that it's caused some sort of problem for them. I guess I can understand. Hell, I wouldn't want my co-workers finding out I post stories here (especially considering my supervisor is in one of them ).

We tend to relax around friends and others take advantage of that. You can have it investigated by the police as well if they made threats. Trust me. there are ways of tracking the culprit down.

Lime: I've had this happen to me before (before I was TheEarl). If the little prick hadn't run so fast then I would've fed him his teeth with a cricket bat. Seconded what Dran said, both about volunteering to help you deal with the bastard and threatening police. It's threatening behaviour and verbal harrassment already and that knowledge may give you the whip-hand in keeping this fuckwit's mouth shut.

Would love a PM when you and your lady return. Hope it is not long and hope you manage to catch up with your wanker and give him a piece of your mind/fist. Whichever suits.

Both could be a problem. Either way it surely isn't right and has obviously caused a lot of headaches for two of our fellow authors here. If they were deliberatly tracked by someone from here then they could possibly intiate charges for stalking. If however, it was one of their neighbors or other aquantances who noticed them here, and then put two and two together, I'm not sure what they can do. The damage is done.

Well in threatening to reveal their identities, there's verbal harrassment and threatening behaviour under English law. Not sure if the same can be said about American law.

Oh, my bad. I read him saying he was fairly certain it wasn't someone from the AH as being it wasn't someone from Lit. Over assumptive on my part. Apologies to all for that (not that I necessarily offended anyone, but that's just foolish to do, even if I didn't mean or cause harm, and I know better). Thanx for the clarity, cant.

And I see now, what you guys mean about involving the police. It does sound far too much like stalking, especially considering how much work may have been involved in discovering said identities.

That's a bit creepy, if only a bit.

I agree with Lime that pulling in like a turtle and starting anew is by far the more prudent course of action. Cops here may not be real super effective defending a pornographer from harassment.

A civil action is more likely to succeed than a criminal complaint, but again, sympathies are not going to lie with pornographers. And that's what this is about. And this is America, home of the less and less free every day.
