I'm sick of the negativity. Let's end it here. Controversy is good. Debates are good. Name-calling and vicious belittling sucks ass.
Trolls get a lot of the blame for the change in the board. The trolls can only hurt us if we allow them to do so. The time has come for all of us to take responsibility for our actions. WE are the board - every single one of us. All of us need to stop the stupid mindless bickering and move on to debating, flirting, and witty insults.
Last night I sat in Tralfagar Square and listened to Nelson Mandela talk about how far South Africa has come since the end of Apartheid. In the presence of a man who sacrificed so much for a cause, it's painful for me to read the witless accusations and infighting. When we're living in one of the most amazing times in human history, surely we can find something else to discuss other than who's who and why. Surely we can find better things to do than bicker and whine.
If you truly enjoy this site, don't leave when the going gets bad. That's a cop out. Instead, join with me in a pledge to avoid the mindless mudslinging that has infected this board. If the majority of us refuse to get involved in it - if we instead flood the BB with exciting, provocative, and witty mudslinging - we can end this. Right here and right now.
