A need for an adventure! (OPEN: PM FIRST)

Danielle wasn’t conscious about she was mentioning she won’t be here the next day but it was only a comment since they were calling a toast to the gallery opening which was next day. Any person in her shoes, their friends or not, would say the same and drink to that since she wouldn’t be able to make it the next day. Besides, she was a stranger to them, not as much as to Dane than his friends.

Danielle knew how to lighten up but they were people she didn’t know and had only met them today, not even more than an hour before. She was much more comfortable and laid back when around with people she knows. Here, she was just being courteous. She did hear Joanne pass a comment regarding her and Danielle thought that was kind of rude but she didn’t blame the woman. Poor Joanne didn’t know Danielle at all and there was that.

She was not the one to hold any grudges and so when John spoke in her favor, she simply nodded. Though, she did feel back about Dane having to leave early and also noticed how he’d lied later to tell his friend he had an early meeting. Danielle didn’t say anything at that time but once they bid their farewell and they were standing outside, waiting for their car, she did turn around to look at him after he complimented how she’s a lovely woman and her husband being a lucky guy, “Thank you for doing what you did. You didn’t have to lie. I know you don’t have any early meetings. I could have gone back to hotel on my own but thank you.” She said and felt him lean over and kiss her cheek.

She cocked her eyebrows, “I think after tonight, I owe you that much.” She chuckled and replied when he told her she’ll have to photograph her in future. They were at her hotel in no time and she wished him good night. She had a good time and he was a good company. Thing would be much more comfortable between the two when she’d see him again in future. She went upstairs and fell asleep like a baby.

http://iv1.lisimg.com/image/9058627/740full-danielle-knudson.jpgDanielle was well rested the next morning when she woke up the next day. She decided to take her time getting ready and then she went for breakfast downstairs before checking out. Leaving her bag at the counter, she had a satiating breakfast, knowing that she will be in transit for a while and then hour and half hold in Chicago before she takes a connecting flight to Cali. She was dressed in a blue and white jumper that was sleeveless and not so deep neck either. It was something she felt very comfortable in when travelling and wearing casuals for day away from office.

She gave herself enough time after checking out from the hotel to go to Dane’s office where she spent almost an hour, going over what was prepared and then signed an agreement. They parted ways happily as they both were looking forward to working together on this.

Arriving at the airport, the flight was on time from Texas to Chicago so she was very glad and wanted to make it in time for dinner back home since it was still early in the day. It was only afternoon when the flight departed from Texas and after few hours and a bit of turbulence, the flight reached Chicago airport. The weather was bad so she quickly checked what the status was for her connecting flight and it seemed that she’d gotten a flight status update in her text message that it was delayed after 2 hours at least. Once she got off the plane and entered the terminal area, she noticed how crowded it was and it was due to flight cancellation.

She knew right then that something didn’t seem right and hoped that at least her flight would not be affected by the bad weather. The only reason why they let the Texas flight land was because it was already in air but flying out of Chicago airport was a bit of a gamble due to bad weather conditions. She had a little bit of taste in her previous flight when they had a turbulence so she wasn’t much hopeful for her connecting flight either. Regardless of it all, she walked over to the proper gate where she learned that her light was not only 2 hours delayed but almost 4.

It seems they were just trying to push back flight cancellation as long as they could. She quickly called her husband to let him know and that’s when she learned that he was also out of town for some meeting. After confirming that they will announce the status on her flight when an update is available, she decided that she needed some coffee in her system. It was a bar/café. Finding an empty stool, she hopped on it and settled with a cup of coffee in her hand. She was looking up weather updates on her phone while sipping on her cup of coffee with other hand when she heard a man speak to her from her right.

She kicked her heels to make her stood turn, smiling after hearing his frustration. “Join the club.” She said and put her phone down when he introduced himself, “Yeah I just checked. It’s officially 4 hours now. I just hope it doesn’t get cancelled!” she said and ran her hand through her pretty blonde hair before extending it towards him, “Danielle. It’s nice to meet you.” She said and sipped on her cup of coffee. She nodded no and added, “I don’t think there’s anyone getting lucky tonight. The weather’s bad out there. I just landed and it was pretty bad.”

Jack begins to formulate a plan

Jack took in her slim figure, watching her hand run softly through her blonde hair. He smiled, while taking her small hand in his, feeling his hand completely encase hers. He held her hand longer than what people deem to be acceptable before he let her pull it from his grasp. 'Maybe this delay won't be too bad after all,' he thought as she picked up her cup of coffee. Picking up his vodka tonic, he sipped it listening to her tell him she didn't think anyone is getting lucky tonight.

"Well Danielle you never know when you are going to get lucky," he said with a sly knowing smile that could be taken for more than just catching an airplane. He didn't care about the ring on her finger. If her hubby was around he would have been there by now and she didn't say anything about a better half. It would be better to just not talk about it.

Eyeing her cell phone, he smiled picking it. "You don't mind do you," he asked not waiting for her approval. "This is the new iPhone. I've heard all about these new phones," he exclaimed in mock excitement, opening the start-up screen. He saw she didn't have it password protected. "I have to get one of these some day," he lied, continuing to open pages and seeing her eyes staring down at her phone. He had the newest phone in his pocket but he wasn't about to show her.

"I heard you can do almost anything except cook," he laughed opening her phone directory. After making a few swipes, he found what he was looking for, her phone number. Jack had a photo-graphic memory and once he committed the number to memory, he looked up at Danielle. "Ohhhh I'm sorry," he said with a sheepish grin. "I should have asked you first if I could see your phone. By the way, that outfit you're wearing looks very good on you." As he handed the phone back to her, he was already devising a little game to play with her.

Danielle was aware of the attention she always gets and was getting in that moment, sitting and sipping on her coffee at the airport terminal. She wasn't even dressed in her best outfit but something she found casual in which she can easily move around in the flight and on layovers. It was much better than having a tight skirt around her waist or that feeling of having to sit all erect when dressed in something so fine. The jumper sort of stayed on her frame, so loose and slightly airy that allowed her to stay cool rather than feel hot, only to sweat all over.

The man took her hand and gave it a gentle shake, feeling his large rough palm before he let go after holding it awfully longer than she'd anticipated. When he used that tone while replying to her comment, she smirked, "I know I am not. The weather seems bad." She said, changing the topic as it was a bit odd to talk to stranger in such a way.

Before she could say or do anything, he grabbed her phone. She nodded, "Yes, it is the latest model." She confirmed as she continued to sip on her coffee, not making anything as to why he was scrolling through her phone. Though, to her, he was just checking her phone out when he was actually noting down her number. It wasn't a bad one to remember either. 310-282-2882.

He seemed a little odd but he was good company and look wise, he was handsome. He was a bit older but lively and energetic. "That's right. 80% of times, I don't even feel the need to use my laptop. It does everything for you." She said and nodded. "Ohh don't worry about it. It's just a phone." She said and added, "Though, I do break them plenty times but so far, I haven't dropped this one. So hopefully, it will stay with me for long I hope." She is a little clumsy at times and had changed her phones many times. When she heard him compliment her, she smiled and turned to look at him, "I hope you aren't hitting on me. Because, I am married." She said and showed him the ring as if that was suppose to make him run away. Though, she didn't want him to run away, not just yet. She didn't want to get bored, "I hope they update the status. I mean if they are cancelling, I would like to book a hotel and call it a day at least!" She exhaled forcefully before she clicked a button on her phone to check the time.

Jack tries to put some thoughts into Danielle's head

He chuckled when Danielle told him she about losing her phone but she had yet to drop this one. He got the feeling from her conversation that she either dropped or lost phones on a regular basis. " I bet the phone stores love seeing you walk into the store," he laughed.

The smile on her face was genuine when he complimented her good looks. He listened to her add a comment about wanting to know about the delay because if there was one, she wanted to book a hotel and call it a day. Jack looked at the big stone sitting on her wedding finger, a sparkling gem that he had spied earlier when he found her sitting on the stool next to him when he returned from the airline check-in. "So what if I'm trying to hit on you Danielle? You are a beautiful woman and I'm sure I'm not the first man or woman to hit on you. What's wrong with having a bit of fun when you are on the road? I bet your husband doesn't sit around his hotel room when he's traveling."

He could tell from the way she dressed, acted, and took care in the way she put on her makeup that she was accustomed to the finer things in life. "And I bet your hubby doesn't tell you everything he does when he travels and I also bet you don't tell him every detail of your trip, do you?" he added waiting for her reaction. He didn't care about her hubby or what he did when he was away from home on business. He was only concerned with putting some doubt about what her husband may be doing on his business trips into this beautiful woman's head. He wondered if she every doubted her hubby's fidelity.

She wasn’t clumsy when it came to things except her phones. She wasted at least 4 phones a years and that’s started to form a habit for her. She made a thoughtful face, “I think the guy knows me by my first name now.” She said and laughed out loud.

She wasn’t expecting what he was about to say and when he did, she let out a laughter. Out of everything, his comment about men or women caught her off guard, “Women?” She said and added, “Ok I have to admit that’s new to me.” She sipped on her coffee, finishing it before she turned to look at him, “I would say the more a guy talk about my husband, the more he’s trying to ruin his game. So you are doing a really bad job if you are hitting one me, despite knowing I am married. Good…” she said and turned to look at the terminal board, “I guess you’ll just ruin your chances all on your own.” She said though he really didn’t have any chance.

Speaking ill of her husband wouldn’t serve him any goody points, that’s the truth. No matter how bad, it would remind her of the very person who would make her want to hold back and not give into a man hitting on her. One ought to make her forget about him, not use him to get to her. That would be a weak attempt. “You mind keeping an eye on my bag…going to go check on the update and use a restroom.” She said as he genuinely thought he wasn’t going to just run off with her bag. Besides, the bartender was right there.

Jack sends a text to Danielle

Jack felt fully admonished when Danielle told him he was using the wrong tactic to hit on her. Her remarks about ruining his chances only made him more determined to find some way to make her warm up to him. He had had been rebuffed in the past by women but he always seemed to find a way to break down their defenses. One can never be right all the time and this was a game of trying to find the crack in her armor.

"Touché," he said looking into her eyes acknowledging her comment about using her husband to get her more interested in him. From the way she phrased it, she was not rebuffing his advances by telling him to go away. No she was simply telling him that he needed to find another way to entice her.

He smiled at her when she asked him to watch his bag. The barkeep laughed too when she added his name. "Don't worry miss, I'm sure your gentleman friend is not going to run off with your things."

Jack laughed adding, "You go right ahead and take your time Danielle. I'm not going any where." Why would he leave now when the game is just starting.

When Danielle left a man tried take her seat but he and the bartender told him the woman was just checking on her flight and would return soon. The bartender introduced himself as Kevin and struck up a conversation with Jack when there was a lull in getting drinks for customers.

Jack looked at his phone, smiling at an idea. Picking up the phone, he quickly put her phone number into his and added her name as a contact. Sipping his bourbon, he pondered for a moment what to type that would show he was not like any other guy hitting on her as he typed.

"Though you have left me but for a few minutes I miss you. I miss your sweet smile and am left with wondering when you will return. I desire to know you more and wonder what it would feel like to kiss your soft lips and hold you in my arms."

Jack re-read his message. 'A little humor and honesty,' he thought and then hit the send key before reaching for his glass of bourbon.

She didn't know why but the inner woman inside her spoke when showing him the ropes of what a man should do when hitting on a married woman. Technically, her husband would be on her mind when approached by another man and how it would seem all so wrong and the only thing the guy should steer clear of is mentioning of her husband. Matter of fact, one should act to make the husband non-existent for short amount of time, just enough to make the lady slip.

Though, it was too late to stop her from sharing the knowledge and so she figured it was time to walk away to refresh her mind a bit. Her boredom was getting to her and waiting at the bar wasn't helping at all. That's when she told the stranger that she would be right back and she only smiled when the barkeep managed to pass off a remark towards her. "You never know. You keep an eye on him for me, please. Oh and he's not my friend." She said as she looked over her shoulders before walking away towards the restroom, typically in the same direction where the huge board was where the flight status was being displayed.

She went over to the board and joined the group with many others like her. She checked the status and it said delayed. She frowned and took a few steps back, only to be standing next to one of the security guy who who was speaking to someone on a walkie. It was confirmed that the flight 686 was canceled. He ended the call and then called the desk to tell them to update the status.

Having the crucial information with her, she went over to the restroom and without taking too long, she started fleshing up a little. That's when she got a text message and at first, she thought it was a wrong number. And then, she read it once again to doubtfully guess who it was. The stranger.

She chuckled reading it, deciding to text him back, "Well hold that thought. You might have some luck once I empty my seat." She said as she was walking back. Just as she arrived, her text arrived in his phone. She had a sly smile on her face as she took a last sip from her cup of coffee before pushing it towards the barkeep. "Thank you very much..." she said looking at the guy behind the counter and then turned towards the stranger who had been entertaining her for a while, "And thank you for keeping me company. I hope you have a better luck with the next company that takes my place." She smirked and grabbed her bag by her handle. "It was nice meeting you. And good luck." She said as she knew she'd have to get to some hotel before the crowd broke loose and she certainly didn't want to end up without a room.

Once she was up on her feet and in motion, she made her way towards the taxi stand and hiring a cab to take her to a nearby hotel. She also called her secretary on the way to find her a hotel and once she'd do that, she'd give it to the cabbie, telling him to take her there. She'd have a room booked for her by the time she'd get there.

Jack has a surprise for Danielle

Jack heard the ring tone on his phone just as Danielle walked back into the airport lounge. He saw the look on her face as she grabbed her cup of coffee without sitting down, sipping it and then thanking the bartender. He read the text quickly and then looked over to her as she turned her head to him. He could see the expression in her eyes that she had no intention of staying in the lounge.

He listened to her blow off comment, thanking him for keeping her company and then wishing him good luck. Jack remained silent, watching her grab the handle of her luggage and then without another word, walk out the door into the busy concourse. Jack looked out the window, seeing the weather turning nasty and he had a pretty good idea that his plane would be grounded until tomorrow morning.

He heard another tone on his phone and wondered if it was the blonde sending him a text. It was a note from the airlines stating they were sorry for the inconvenience but all airlines were suspending flights until further notice.

Jack smiled as he picked up the phone and called the Hilton Hotel in O'Hara airport. It was the only hotel chain that had a hotel in the airport and it was within easy walking distance. It also afforded one to not travel outside when the weather was bad. He was smart enough to make a reservation earlier when he thought the weather would stop all air traffic.

'Too bad Danielle and I didn't hit it off,' he thought while waiting for the hotel to answer his call. A hotel reservationist answered the phone, informing him that his reservation was still valid and it was the last room available for the night. Putting his phone down, he looked at Kevin. "Well it looks like no one is going to fly out of here tonight."

"Yea buddy it looks like you struck out with that gorgeous babe," Kevin said with a smile.

"Well you can't win them all," Jack said throwing a five dollar tip on the bar. She definitely gave him the cold shoulder, lecturing him on not mentioning her husband, etc. Reaching down to grab the handle of his luggage, he noticed something didn't seem right. Saying good-bye, he walked out of the lounge into the concourse full of people roaming around trying to make sense of the delays. Some were resigned to the fact they would spend the night in the uncomfortable chairs, some were already laying out on the floor, while others were on their cell phones.

Getting the feeling that something was not right, Jack looked down at his travel luggage and realized it was not his. He let out a chuckle which drew the attention of a few people. Walking to the men's room, he found an empty stall, then opened the luggage to confirm that he had Danielle's luggage. He smiled, picking up some sexy underwear and a sheer nightgown. He saw her makeup kit and then laughed. She was sure to get a big surprise when she opened his.

She was probably standing in a long line at the taxi stand, waiting like everyone else who wanted to get a room for the night. Then he had an idea. Picking up his phone he sent her a text. "It's not nice to steal something that doesn't belong to you. I love the colors of your sexy underwear. I bet you look fantastic prancing around in them. Let me know if you want them back or otherwise have fun going through my things. I do have your laptop too."

He was in no hurry to tell her where he was or where is was staying. She was a bitch to him so he decided to let her have a little of her own medicine before he told her where he was staying and give her luggage back to her. As he punched the send button, he wondered if she was on her way downtown.

The look on her face was that of flee. There were no good reason why she should stay and waste time when the flight was cancelled. She'd rather be in some room, planning on what she was going to eat and then some sleep. She's going to need some rest anyways since she had stayed out the previous night with Dane. She didn't just leave. She thanked the guy and tipped the bartender before making her way out of there.

She didn't want to be stuck on an airport, waiting for some cab to take her to a hotel to only find out the rooms are booked. Apparently, her secretary was on top of it since she had already notified her earlier that she might be either delayed or if the flight gets cancelled, she'd need to stay back another night. It also pushed rest of her meetings she had the following day with the usual clients.

She was lucky to find a cab since she was next up in the number and there were quite a few cab waiting, given the condition, they knew this is where they can pick up business. She was already traveling in one when her secretary texted her the booking confirmation at the Westin that was right around the corner. Luckily the guy had drove past it but when she murmured the name of the hotel, he was quick enough to take the next U-turn.

The guy was also in rush to get back to the airport to pick up more customers. Once he pulled in front of the hotel, one of the bellboy came around to grab her bag from the trunk while she paid the cab driver. She tipped him well before she didn't even bother to rush inside. She wasn't going to open her bag to just pull out some sweater. Besides, she wasn't carrying anything thicker to guard her in the cold weather.

The inside lobby was much warmer and welcoming as she waited at the desk to check in. It wasn't long before she got a test message but being busy checking in, she didn't even check it until she was in an elevator. Her eyes were glued to her phone, not noticing the bell boy checking her out. "Shoot..." She spoke a bit loudly as she read the text. She quickly punched away at the keyboard in her phone after checking the tag that had his name on the bag, "I am so sorry. I left in rush and didn't even realize I had your bag until you messaged me." She said and sent it.

The followed the bellboy down the hall and into a spacious looking room. "Thank you. That would be all." She said and tipped the guy again, spending rest of her cash right then. "Though, I bet you'd look even more fantastic prancing around in them." She wrote back to his message, "Since you gave him, why don't you anyways?" She wrote back before placing her purse on the side and she sat down on the couch after taking off her heels. "How about you take a cab to the Westin hotel and we can exchange our baggages?" She sent him yet another message and relaxed, turning on the TV to watch the news.

When he arrived at the Hilton lobby, it was filled with people trying to get a room. Walking up to the "Preferred Line" he stood behind a couple of people and glad he made the reservation earlier. While waiting, he heard a ping and pulled out his cell phone to see he had a message. He smiled and then chuckled as he read her text about being sorry and didn't know she had his luggage. Just as he was about to reply, he heard the attendant call for the next person.

The attendant started working on Jack's reservation which he made in his company's name. He started doing it a few years back on the advice of a friend concerned about identity thief. He had been a victim and now they would only know his company name. While the attendant worked on his reservation, Jack heard his phone ping again. He read about him looking fantastic in her clothes and he should wear them since he had them. The attendant heard his loud chuckle and Jack told him it was a friend sending him a funny text. The attendant gave him a knowing smile as Jack quickly typed.

"While I'm sure I would look good in them, I think it would be better if you modeled them for me before I took them off and ravaged that beautiful body of yours." Jack hit send and then signed the registration form.

He declined the use of a bellman since he only had his computer bag and Danielle's luggage. In the elevator, he wondered if she was still in the long taxi line or if she was lucky enough to get a room somewhere. The rooms usually go pretty fast in times of bad weather.

Opening the door to his spacious suite, he threw his computer and Danielle's luggage onto the bed. Looking out the window at the lights of Chicago and the deserted runways of O'Hara, he heard the familiar ping of his cell phone. He thought she was sending another smart-ass text as he started reading the text, he smiled knowing she was only a few minutes away at the Westin.

He thought about her request to bring her luggage to the Westin to exchange with his and then smiled, remembering how she came off as a strong willed woman and how she had given him the cold shoulder in the lounge. Looking at her luggage lying on the bed, he opened the case to see her array of sexy clothing.

He let out a laugh. "Glad to hear you found shelter from the storm. You are only a few minutes from the Hilton. Where I come from someone who steals another persons belongings are the ones who should return them. Let me know when you are coming and I'll give you my room number."

Hitting the send button, Jack had another idea. Stripping off his clothes, he typed, "I tried your sexy clothes on but they didn't fit quite right.:) But I am wearing this. https://40.media.tumblr.com/6bf8ee9dc6cc0288ebaa8ad9accdf254/tumblr_nyqdyjV4f71uyzusto1_500.jpg What do you think?"

She settled in on the couch just fine and felt as if she didn’t want to move from the spot anymore. She was done for the day and she knew it. It would be a matter of few hours where she’d spend some time eating dinner and then relax herself with some wine to call it a night. She really wasn’t planning anything since everyone was stuck. She’d rather be in her own home but unfortunately, this room was her home for the night.

“You speak a language of some barbarian. Anyways, I really don’t have to model anything to you as I know I look good in them. They are mine after all.” She said as she texted back, knowing he was flirting with her, adding, “And who said I’d allow you to take them off anyways. Not my husband….sorry.” She added and giggled to herself, finding it to be funny coming from a stranger.

While he was waiting to get checked in his room, she was already at ease and settled in her comfortable room. She got another one of his text and she frowned reading it. He must be out of his mind if he was thinking she’d go back out on the roads in this kind of weather. She wasn’t worried about her luggage since she knew she would get it back, if not tonight then tomorrow for sure. Besides, she was dressed casually and the dress would do just fine for the dinner downstairs. She could come back up and either sleep in that very same dress or even better, sleep naked. It’s not like anyone could just barge in.

She sent another text, “Sorry, first of all, I didn’t steal it. But okay, if you want to think of it as such, go file a complaint to the authorities….haha”

She added a smiley at the end and added, “As for exchanging bags, we will just do that at the airport tomorrow. I am really not in rush to get my bag.” She saw the picture and knew that wasn’t her underwear and that probably wasn’t even him, “You can try it all. Just make sure you keep them with you after you try them on. I wouldn’t want them back.” She said and laid down on the couch, continued to watch TV. This wasn’t going to be easy for anyone. “And you don’t have to come out if you don’t want to. It’s pretty bad outside and if you get into an accident, I don’t want to be the one to get blamed. So it’s safe to just exchange the bags tomorrow.” She said seriously thinking how it was so bad outside.

Jack sends another text

Jack smirked as he read the comment about the barbarian Language and then stating the sexy underwear were hers. He let out a laugh as he read her comment about not being her husband, remembering how she had admonished him for using his name earlier.

Looking about the room, he saw his reflection in the full height windows, wondering if she liked the picture he sent of his underwear. He smiled at his reflection and then picked up the remote, turning the television program to sports center. He figured he might as well catch up on the latest happenings while he was sure she would respond to last text.

Watching the highlights from last night’s games, he heard the ding of his phone and smiled when he saw it was from her. He read about calling the authorities, chuckling at her reference to file a complaint. He quickly read the rest of her text, noting that she was willing to wait until tomorrow to get her bag and then the mocking remark about keeping her things if he tried them on. He thought about her last comment about not blaming him if he didn’t want to come out in this weather. He chuckled again when she he read about not wanting him to get into an accident and blame him.

He thought about her comments as he watched the hockey highlights and a spot about the upcoming Blackhawks and Red Wings game. He was a Red Wings fan ever since he was a kid and had played hockey, making it to the junior level realizing the he would never make it to the NHL. He re-read the text, noting the smiley faces and had a feeling this was not over yet and he didn’t want it to be. He felt that under that tough façade, was a woman wanting to feel the lips of a stranger.

To him, he felt she was playing a cat and mouse game the way she did in the lounge. As he started typing he wondered how she would take his next text. “I called the authorities and they told me I would have to file a complaint at the local police department. My attorney also said this would drag out and be costly. So I don’t want to put a beautiful woman behind bars. You didn’t mention if you liked my underwear. Did you like what I wear?

He hit the send button and then thought about getting his things back. He knew she wouldn’t come to his hotel in this bad weather and she was not more than a mile down the road. He rubbed his chin, thinking and then wrote in another text. “I think you need to have your clothes tonight and am willing to brave the bad weather to get them to you. But what reward waits for me if I risk life and limb to see you and get your clothes back to you?" He wondered how she would respond as he settled in his chair to watch ESPN.

Danielle wasn’t feeling like going out. She also didn’t want him to come down in this bad weather just to give her her bags. They can conveniently exchange them at the airport next day or when the storm calms down a little. She was just playing with him and also had told him she was not in rush. It was him who was blaming her and she had to reply a sly comment, telling him to go to authorities.

She chuckled and felt her tummy growl. She waited for a few minutes, thinking how she didn’t want to go down to dine in the restaurant. She wanted to just settle in and call it a day. Besides, she didn’t want to be looking like a fool, sitting alone and eating dinner. It was better to call room service and that’s what she ended up doing. She was placing an order for light meal when she texted back to him after reading his text.

“Oh don’t mind about this being dragged or costly. Besides, they will not put me behind bars. I can file a counter suit, showing them how you had ruined my panties” She wrote back, “Going to answer truthfully here, NO. You just ruined my panties so I didn’t not like what you wore. If that’s you really.” She had plenty of panties in her bag and wasn’t sure if those were hers. Whatever the case, she was messing with him.

She sent the text just when she was about done ordering her food. She decided to freshen up a little at last and when she stepped out, she got another text message as well as someone knocked on the door. The room service rolled the cart in for her and she took over from there. Once she was alone, she tended to another text, replying before she started eating, “Well I did tell you I really don’t need my clothes. It’s pretty bad outside, even though it’s not far. But if you want to be a savior, sure. I am not going to stop you. What reward would satisfy your special trip to my hotel?” She wrote back and added, “Ask and it shall be granted.” She wrote back before she started munching from her plate, liking how it was tasting and felt good to have something in her tummy at last.

Jack responds to Danielle's text

Jack was watching ESPN and occasionally glancing out the window. The weather was bad but not as bad as the weatherman claimed it was going to be. The wind was howling, shaking signs, and the trees limbs in the courtyard below were bending over to the point Jack thought they might break. He could see why all the planes were grounded until tomorrow.

He heard the ping of his phone and smiled when he saw it was from Danielle. His smile grew wider as he read about her not wanting to stop him if he really wanted to bring her luggage. He let out a loud laugh when he read her comment about ask and it shall be granted.

That was an open invitation to tell her what he really wanted but he was pretty sure she was not of the mind to grant what he really wanted, at least not just yet. He thought about his response as he watched the college basketball highlights from the previous night.

"Hmmm Ask and you shall receive is a pretty broad category. What would be worthy of the knight that returns the damsels clothing?" :) He chuckled, thinking about asking for her to model her underwear but he knew she wouldn't do that. He had to think of some way to get her to spend more time with him. He remembered the Westin had a bar with music every night. "Meet me in the bar in one hour and what I ask for a reward is .... a drink, a dance, and a thank-you kiss." He smiled as he hit the "Kiss" icon and then thought that this night may not turn out so bad after-all. He hit the send button and then turned his attention back to the television.

It was already dark outside and she was not interested in watching the snow paint the city white. She was comfortable now that the food was here and she had something in the tummy that wasn’t a snack. It was a good full meal, settling in her seat as she watched TV.

When her phone buzzed, she read the message and chuckled. Oh if he had asked her to model her underwear, this would be the last time she’d talk to him, that’s for sure. Though, he asked her to come down for a drink.

She knew that wasn’t so bad and after the day she had, she wouldn’t mind a drink at all. She texted back with one hand while she continued to finish her food. “You were granted for one wish and you asked three. Out of all, only one would be granted and A DRINK it is.” She said and looked at her screen before sending it to him.

The next hour seemed to drag on as she had nothing to do. She was tired of waiting in the room and so when it was time, she decided to actually go down to the bar and have a drink for herself while waiting for him to come by.

Meeting Danielle in the bar

Jack finished watching the ESPN segment on hockey, dressed and then packed Danielle's clothes back into her luggage. Looking at his watch he saw he had about 45 minutes to get to the Westin Hotel. Quickly typing a message, "On my way," he checked the room and then left.

Not knowing what kind of line there would be for the taxi service, he went down to the hotel lobby, finding the place almost deserted. The only noise came from the restaurant / bar area and he realized he hadn't eaten since lunch. Grabbing a sandwich and a couple bottles of wine from the small gift shop, he put the wine in her luggage and then walked out of the hotel to find taxi's waiting.

Grabbing a taxi, the driver was surprised when Jack told him to take him to the Westin Hotel. "I'm meeting someone for drinks," he said in response to the odd look from the driver. Jack knew the man lost his place in line and would have to go back and wait until the taxis in the que ahead of him picked up customers. With the bad weather, it looked to be a long night for the driver so when they arrived at the Westin, Jack gave the driver an extra $20 tip.

Jack went to the hotel lobby and checked Danielle's bag into the storage room, telling the clerk on duty that he was meeting the owner in the bar and they would be back to pick up the luggage in a little while.

The bar area was dimly lit with a scattering of patrons sitting at tables and at the bar. Searching the room, he didn't see Danielle and wondered for a moment if she would come down from her room. Finding a couple of empty bar stools, he ordered a bourbon neat and again looked around the room.

Sipping the bourbon, he again wondered if she would show. Looking at his watch, he saw it was just a few minutes past the hour. Glancing at the door he saw a figure approaching from the lobby area. Smiling at the familiar figure, he waved when she appeared in the doorway. Watching her walk toward him with a sway that screamed sexy, he got up when she arrived at the bar.

"So good to see you again Danielle. What would you like to drink?"

Danielle had no other choice but to go downstairs in what she had on; a blue and white jumper suit. It was indeed a comfortable clothing wear and she wasn’t the tone to complain. Though, she loved dressing up and if she had options, she would have changed out of it. No harm done as she still look fresh and having rested a little, she was ready to head downstairs.

She was a few minutes early and had figured that she’d settle at a bar once she gets downstairs. To her surprise, she saw him sitting and waiting for her at the bar as it seemed he beat her to it. Disregarding the bad weather, he had made it a little before time and why wouldn’t he? This kind of weather was boring because you couldn’t go anywhere and even if you did, you’d have to bundle up and that she hated.

When he waved at her after spotting her at the entrance, she made her way towards the bar, smiling at him. Once she reached, she looked to the side if he had brought her luggage with him but seeing it wasn’t there, she was a little curious, “I definitely could use a drink. Maybe more than one.” She said and settled on the stool next to him, looking at the bartender, “A martini please.” She said as she didn’t go for fruity drinks which she would have on normal occasion. “Thank you so much for coming here…I really appreciate it,” she turned towards him as she thanked him. “I hope it wasn’t a lot of trouble?” She asked him with concern.

Enjoying a drink at the Westin Bar

He noticed she was wearing the same blue and white jumper suit she wore earlier at the airport. As she sat on the stool, he saw her eyes survey the area around them as if looking for her luggage. He wondered if she would ask where her luggage was or if she was going to wait for him to tell her. But Jack also noted she didn't bring his luggage into the bar either. There would be plenty of time to exchange the bags but right now he wanted to spend more time with her.

Jack chuckled when she told him she could definitely use a drink and maybe more. He didn't feel the need to tell her he had two bottles of wine in her luggage. A smile crossed the bartenders face when she ordered a martini, telling her it would be right up.

While they waited and watched the bartender make the martini, Jack swung his stool top around to see Danielle still looking toward the bartender. He looked at the long blonde hair covering part of her features and wondered what it would be like to kiss her. When she turned her head toward him, he looked into her eyes, seeing hers searching his as she told him thanks for coming and she really appreciated it.

"No! ..... no trouble at all," he chuckled and then added. "I was undressed and had to get dressed again after I sent a picture on my phone." He waited a few moments and then added more seriously, "it was no trouble at all." He was making reference to the picture he sent her of his underwear.

The bartender brought the martini and Jack told him to put it on his tab. The sound of music filtered throughout the room as he turned to Danielle, holding his glass out for a toast. "I think we both had a hectic day. What do you say we relax, enjoy the music, talk a little, have a few drinks and then we can exchange our luggage?"

She didn’t expect him to go around dragging her bag into this fine bar/lounge. It was for the same reason she didn’t see herself coming down with his bag and it was okay to believe that the bags can be exchanged later on.

She ordered a drink for herself and turned to look at Jack as she crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair. She did take the opportunity to thank the guy for coming out and also that she wouldn’t have held anything against him had they decided to exchange the bag next day.

Though, she could see the reason why he was here, partially. That was to still flirt and impress her. He could try all he wanted she thought in the back of her head before smiling at him. She chuckled at his sarcastic comment and made no return comment on him being undressed. She wasn’t really fond of the picture he sent her anyway. To her, it was a little awkward how the guy was being so open with her.

When the bartender brought the martini over, she toasted her drink and smiled before putting the glass to her lips. “That’s what I thought we were here to do?” She said as if agreeing to his suggestion and then looked around, “It’s a nice place. Bigger crowed than I had expected but it’s due to the snow storm. Everyone’s inside the doors I am sure.” She said and sipped on her drink. “So, you think we will be able to travel tomorrow?” She said striking up a conversation.

Jack suggests they exchange luggage

Jack watched her eyes glance up and down him as she turned toward him. If she wasn't interested, she sure was checking him out. He was sure she was grateful to get her luggage back, as was he from her casual comment about that's what they were here to do. He knew he would be happy to get his luggage back. Wearing the same clothes he had on all day did not appeal to him.

They sipped their drinks and he listened as she told him the crowd in the bar was more than she expected. He chuckled when she said it was due to the snow storm. "Yea that has to be why they are all crowded in here like sardines." She didn't respond to his joke but instead asked if he thought they could travel tomorrow.

"We are definitely going to travel tomorrow. Unless this weather pattern turns out to be a blizzard which I don't think it will. Chicago has one of the best airport crews in the country. The management knows that the longer the place is closed down the more money they lose. In LA we don't even think about closing down flights because the weather is so nice out there."

Jack saw her eyes open a bit wider with the mention of LA. He was going to start a conversation about where are you from and what do you do but he had other thoughts on his mind. She didn't seem to care about where or what he did for a living from their previous conversations.

Jack looked at the crowd in the bar area, some of them dancing to the music and others just sitting around drinking, talking about the weather and whatever else was on their minds. He saw the martini was almost gone and she seemed to do the same. He decided that it was time.

Downing his drink, he looked at Danielle. "It's been a long day. I was going to ask you to dance but why don't I retrieve your luggage and we can go to your room and I'll get mine and be on my way?" It had been a long day but something in his gut told him this day was far from being over.

Danielle was looking forward to calling it a night not because she was tired but there wasn’t anything to do. Besides, it was news that the storm would continue on until late morning. That meant it would be afternoon or early evening when they would resume all the flights. Even if she went to sleep early, she would wake up early because of that and then, she would be just trying to pass the time all day long.

Since she was out, seeing how live this place was, she hadn’t thought about going to sleep early. Instead, she wanted to hang back here. Should Jack decides he was going to leave, she would still spend some time before she heads up to her room to officially call it the night. “Hey, at least it’s better than being upstairs and bored alone.” She shrugged her shoulders at him as she smiled and sipped on her drink.

She chuckled at his reply about the flights and the airport closures, “Well that’s LA. This is Chicago and totally different weather pattern. I am also from Cali so I know. I am sure they are used to work around the snow so let’s home the weather news people are right and the storm would die down tomorrow morning rather than later in the day. Don’t think I can stay in this weather or indoors another day.” She laughed a little.

She was one of those who was always on the move and therefore, enjoying her life. She was a little surprised when he suggested that they should exchange luggage and it’s been a long day for him. She thought he would have another drink or two and then go back to his place but this was also fine. She wouldn’t want to impose and appreciated that he at least came down in the bad weather. That much was visible in her thankful eyes. She took her last sip and looked at him, “You must be tired from the travel and then waiting at the airport. Can’t blame you. You did say something about a dance in text messages...I guess I can go up to my room and bring down your luggage?” She said thinking they would be exchanging here. She bobbed her head a little to the music as she turned to the bartender, “A bottle of water please.” She said and the bartender passed one towards her, taking a few gulps of cool water, she felt a little content. She jumped off her tall stool and looked at him, “Shall we?”

Jack pulls Danielle onto the dance floor

Jack smiled when she told him she was from California too. The two of them never got down to small talk. Talk about where are you from, what do you do for a living, etc. It was like finding out small chunks of someone's background a little at a time.

He also chuckled when she said she didn't think she could stay in this weather or indoors another day. If she knew what was brewing in his mind, he wondered if she would change the reference to staying in all day.

"Yea really tired," he said with a grin. "You had a long day too," he added watching her take the last sip of her drink. He didn't tell her he had two bottles of wine in her luggage as he watched her head bob to the music. he would have liked a few dances with her but he had something else on his mind.

When she ordered the bottle of water, Jack watched as she took a few swigs and then jumped off the tall bar stool. "We shall," he said getting off the stool. Walking through the bar to the exit caused them to walk past the three piece band and the dance floor.

he wondered what it would feel like to hold her in his arms as he pulled her sideways onto the dance floor. "Just one quick dance before we part company," he laughed, taking her into his arms and pulling her tight against him. She didn't seem to mind and they danced until the music ended. "That's two of three," he mused as they walked off the floor.

"I left your bag at the counter. I'll got get it and we can go to your room to get mine," he said as they walked out to the bar as another song began to play.

California was big and even though it was an interesting information to know about someone, she wasn't as attached to him as one would get to actually give away such information. She did hold herself back from divulging to much into a conversation, thinking it would be a simple exchange and they would go on their separate ways like earlier.

There was nothing personal but that is how she'd always been after college, being a one man woman, she really didn't encourage men around her despite knowing their interest or noticing how they looked at her. Usually, no one bothered her after finding out that she was married, which was a normal and right thing to do.

She nodded her head side to side, "Yeah, that I did." She wouldn't have said no if he had asked her to a dance but when he suggested that they should go on with their exchange, she nodded in agreement. She joined him, walking side by side as they walked towards an exit out of the bar when she let surprised yelp as he pulled her wide ways onto the dance floor.

Her hands came to rest on his shoulders to support herself and until she was okay to stand on her own without stumbling around. "Two of three?" She murmured but before she could say anything, they were off the floor. She didn't understand what he took her on the dance floor when it was merely for half a song and then leave just as they were wetting their feet.

She hummed softly as they moved out of the bar and then into the lobby, not thinking of anything when he suggested that he would get her bag and then they can go upstairs to fetch his. She waited by an elevator, waiting for him and when he arrived, the doors slid open. She smiled and entered first as he let her and then pressed a button to go up to the second highest floor.

"Here we are..." She said as the doors opened and her suite was right around the corner. She took the lead as she walked side by side but slightly ahead, opening her door upon reaching there, "You can just leave my bag next to the close by the door." She said and walked further inside where his bag was in the visible distance. She kicked the bottom to tilt the bag as she grabbed the handle and rolled it towards him, "There you are. Untouched." She said in regards to hers being touched. She did have a smile on her face so she was only joking with him.

Jack kissed Danielle in her room

The soft sound of her humming made him smile as they walked to the lobby. Though she didn't say anything about the quick dance, he had the feeling she liked him taking charge. She seemed like the kind of person who was in charge of her life but she also liked to relinquish that role at times. Jack wondered if she would do that in a few minutes.

The soft smile that greeted him when he arrived at the elevator was returned by one of his own. When she pressed the upper floor button, he was impressed. The upper floors were reserved for honors members. On the ride up, they didn't talk and he thought she must travel a lot to get honor points. He had them too and it made life so much simpler when making reservations and checking in.

He let out a soft whistle when she opened the door to her suite. The large glass windows had a great view of the surrounding area. Snow swirled around the windows and he could tell the weather was reaching it's peak. Jack placed her bag near the closet at the door and then watched her retrieve his bag.

Letting out a laugh when she made the comment about his bag being untouched, seeing her smile, he walked further into the room. "Nice place you have here Danielle," he said as she stood in front of him. He looked at her and then at his bag, knowing this was either hello or good-bye. "By the way, I put two bottles of expensive wine in your luggage for you to enjoy."

Jack held out his hand and smiled when she held her hand out. "Well Danielle it was nice meeting you and I hope you have a safe trip to California." He took her small hand, giving her a firm hand shake and then in a flash, Jack pulled her hand above her head, pushing her against the nearest wall. His arm came to rest on the back of her neck as he pressed his body against hers so her other hand was captured against the wall.

With her in this position, he placed one leg between her thighs. The last thing he wanted was having Danielle try to kick him in the groin. He felt her body tensing against his assault as their eyes locked on each other. It didn’t matter if she wanted the kiss or not. “I told you I wanted a kiss for bringing your luggage back in this weather,” he smirked.

Using his free hand to cup her chin, he leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers. When she tried to move her head sideways to avoid the feel of his lips, he pulled his lips just off hers and said, “That won’t help you.”

Holding her head still, Jack pressed his lips against her tightly closed lips. He wasn’t about give her just a thank you kiss but a kiss that signaled his desire for her. His tongue slipped out to caress her lips, pressing against the tightly sealed lips waiting for her to give in to his advances and her own carnal desires that she kept locked up. He was going to be the key to open that box of delights.
